This book's main strong points are the clear, helpful photographs that accompany its Juggling instruction, and the suggestions as to how one can make one's own Juggling equipment from things that can be found around the house. Author Nick Huckleberry Beak recognizes that a lot of prospective Jugglers out there are unable to afford prices of $10+ per Juggling Ball and $45+ for a single Juggling Club, and his enabling of potential Jugglers to manufacture their own Props at virtually no cost, especially when it comes to this book's main target audience—kids—is a very positive thing.

Overall, the technical Juggling instruction in the book is extremely basic. No Numbers Juggling or even Club Juggling is taught, and only a handful of rudimentary Three-Ball Moves are explained and demonstrated. Also, much of what is taught in Crafty Juggling has no direct tie to traditional Toss Juggling techniques.

This book definitely has value, and I would suggest it for anyone who might do well in learning how to Juggle the Three-Ball Cascade from photographs. I would give one and a half stars to Crafty Juggling.
