Brace yourselves--it's about to get very thesis-y in here.
This was good--it gave me some useful ideas for my paper. If you're interested in Holocaust studies, I highly recommend it. Berger does some fascinating analysis on Holocaust books. He also has a very interesting section on historical trauma, where he analyzes Beloved. Good stuff.
