Dark Petals is Sara’s second independently published poetry collection that she has written over the years. You are encouraged to find every bit of yourself in any of the poems, or by the collection as a whole. Inspired by the music of Hisham Kharma, Nils Frahm and other prominent musician, as well as the sonnets of Shakespeare and Elizabeth Barret Browning, Sara finds her own unique free-style of writing that explores the boundaries of free thoughts, emotions, and everything from the beyond. There isn’t a single verse that wasn’t inspired by imagination, emotional range and depth, and the hues of love, loss and mental illness through her eyes.
