I enjoyed this book featuring three Chinese folktales. The first story was meh but the last two was great specially the last one. The second is a bit dragging. But the last one is thoroughly engaging even though I dont like the title of the story. The art is good perfect with the story.

These three Chinese folktales are new to me. So often I feel like I read retellings of the same stories over and over again, but these were three I'd never read before. they were short and simple, but I liked them.

"And so by refusing to open her eyes and see the beautiful landscape Lap-xuong painted, the dowager empress was forever left standing at the door to paradise."

While chasing blind wealth we often forget that happiness is right at our door.

The artwork was an unexpected surprise...a fun way to bring a set of old tales to life.

There are 3 stories in this book and I enjoyed all of them, especially Sausage Boy and His Magic Brush.

A good book to introduce kids to chinese culture and beliefs. There were only 3 folktales featured here, i hope there were more. It was a joy to read it so were the graphics

While the Chinese Folktales were an interesting view into an aspect of Chinese culture, I found the graphic novel format hard to read. In general, I found the artwork good and I felt it added to the folktales for me, it would have been better as text with some illustrations rather than as a graphic novel.

I liked the stories a bit better than the previous volume, although the art was a bit more cartoony.
