LFL find. Normally I love 'three wishes' stories, but this is pretty darn lame. Ali doesn't even learn a lesson or anything, except maybe that school isn't as bad as staying home alone all day... which young readers will not find believable.
it's about a teen girl named ali who accidentally found a genie in an old larva lamp given to her by her thrift shop junkie grandmother. the genie wore a tiny gold watch shaped like an hourglass filled with sparkling pink sand. ali was allowed to make 3 wishes which would last for as long as the sand took to run from one hourglass to the other.
so one day she wished that genie would look like her so she didn't have to go to school and all hell broke loose.
