Katie is glad the school holidays have arrived but is not keen for her mother to see her school report. She worked at the Parfizz drink factory with her friend Lorraine, doing the most disgusting jobs Mr Ng could find for them. After overhearing that the factory is going broke and will close, she joins with her friends, and they create a tasteless advertising video released on YouTube. It’s a hit and catches the CEO of a world-renowned advertising agency. At the same time, the agent for Global Beverages is executing a shady deal, where he will pocket millions of dollars after tricking Mr. Parfitt, owner of Parfizz, into accepting a low selling price that does not reflect the increased sales since the YouTube ad launched. I enjoyed the Brisbane setting and the creative way the characters fixed the problems they found, and I laughed at the antics they got up to. Recommended for readers ten years and older.
A great story set in Brisbane with Toowoomba reference. A modern Enid Blyton group of teens. Readers familiar with the locale can also have fun recognising local references.
