Gareth and D&B managed to write a great book on a topic that there is very little written about: the final table. And it is a very important issue, since there players can win or lose the most money and cannot afford to make mistakes.

The book is cleverly divided into 4 large parts: 8-10 players, 5-7 players, 3-4 players and heads-up. The strategies and decisions are very different in each case and the author makes the differences very clear. And to explain the concepts he analyzes more than 100 hands in depth, putting the solutions of the solvers to show the correct decision.

Gareth is a born teacher, he has students in his poker school and this is very noticeable in his style of explaining different topics. The book also has some extra chapters on ICM and continuous improvement that are very useful.

I think "The Final Table" is one of the 5 best poker books that were published in 2023 and I highly recommend reading it for online and live poker players, as they will be able to review important concepts to take into account and improve their game remarkably.
