JEREMY NICHOLAS started acting, playing the piano and writing comic verse when he was at infant school. Nurtured on a diet of Gilbert & Sullivan, Noël Coward, Flanders & Swann, and Tom Lehrer with lots of Lewis Carroll, John Betjeman, Marriot Edgar and Harry Graham thrown into the mix, his love of rhyme has been a lifelong passion. WHAT LARKS is a wide-ranging collection of some of the poems and song lyrics Jeremy has written over the past four decades, most of them composed under the influence of panic and looming deadlines.
