Rate this book

Interesting the the original enlgish page for this book was deleted. It gives a very good and detailed account of the selected periods in which central banks took over independent nations and their state banks.

I could not find this book in English on Amazon or Goodreads. After reading, i can understand why. This is what they don't teach you in history class or in the media.

Some of the interpretations of historical events seem either farfetched or contrived. But for the most part, this is an incredibly astute book. Pretty much a must-read. A great primer/outline for deep dives.

Eye opening. A wealth of historical insight into the past and present impact of monetary policy and private banking in the lives of everyone, from wars and foreign policy, to every day business, politics, and working people.

Some of the conclusions may seem conspiratorial at first glance. Yet the amount of consistent historical evidence shown, and the own author’s track record as a leader in banking, make the book as insightful as it is provoking.

”Jewish law unlike Catholicism and Islam, permitted the charging of interest on loans to persons who were not Jewish.” s.24

”If usury remains intact, then the world must brace itself for a depression, similar to the Dark Ages, which will last for many centuries. In the preceding chapter it has been proven, conclusively, that state banking and the sovereign issue of a nation's money supply are the only means for the provision of a natural order of harmony, peace and prosperity founded on the ethnic independence of all peoples.” s.164

4/5 - I read the English 4th Edition of this book, 'A History of Central Banking and The Enslavement of Mankind'. Interestingly, at the time of this review, that specific book is not up for reviewing on Goodreads - the book is banned in many places. This is the German version of it, to my understanding. As a not-super-interested-in-history sort of gal, this read was a different choice from my usual picks. However, I'm thankful that I did, at the recommendation from my boyfriend, who has more interest in finance, history, etc. This book has shifted my views on interest, credit usage, banking, & just the overall economic system that our world & society is built upon. Senator Carter Glass - "With a gun a man can rob a bank, with a bank a man can rob the world." I dock it a star because of two reasons: firstly, it was difficult for me to keep up with the sequence of events. It jumps around to different time periods & countries, rather than keeping it sequential. Especially for a non-history reader, this made things challenging to keep up with. Secondly, and likely the reason that the book is banned, is because of how persistently the author uses words like "parasitic", "demonic" & other descriptive adjectives. At the end of the day, this should be a history book, written more factually. Let the readers decide how they perceive the actions of global banker leaders throughout the eras, rather than essentially tell them how to feel about it. But yes, it was very interesting to see how much history repeats itself. Also, how peaceful life has been before, under different banking systems. All it did was solidify my beliefs that we as the commonfolk are simply just along for the ride, while a small group of incredibly wealthy & powerful members of society control our existence. From the products we consume, to the recessions we survive, to the wars we lose our men to. All of it is controlled with intention. For the end goal, of, you guessed it: more money. Mayer Amschel Rothschild - "Give me control of the economics of a country, and I care not who makes her laws. The few who understand the system, will either be so interested from its profits, or so dependent on its favours, that there will be no opposition from that class."

(I am reviewing this edition since the English page for this book isn’t present)

A work of Pseudo-History. Goodson draws many accusatory conclusions with little evidence to support them , and oftentimes fully misinterprets and outright lies about historical events. The main example that comes to mind is his description of Napoleons death, but many times when he talks about the death of various people mentioned, he outright lies to build his conspiracy of a Rothschild-Jewish-Central Banking world order. In addition, the referencing is horrid, with many sources being of extremely low reliability and quality. For example, one citation is literally from a deleted post of a random abandoned internet forum which is now inaccessible, far from anything remotely academic or reliable.

That being said, there are some interesting historical insights and ideas presented in this book, but it is clear that the entire narrative is fabricated and does not hold up well together. Even if Goodson’s theory was somehow correct, he does an awful job at explaining and proving it.

Perhaps the number one primer I would offer people as a gentle introduction to the JQ. A brief overview of how they influenced many events throughout history, though it does not go terribly in depth on any of them. A short, easy read.

I read the English version. It was very informative and eye opening. It’s impossible to win the fight against Central Banking and end up with a prosperous economy.

Great book. Didn’t fact check much but I just focused on what I see in real life. I’ve always wondered why things don’t change when new politics get into office and this book pretty much shows you why. Sources seem legit and I might read some of the stuff he added in. I recommend it, even though it is depressing to know this stuff

3/10.
Doesn't explain much in terms of the functioning of any of the systems that it antagonizes, nor those that it supports.
The arguments are conflicting with one another, and the bias paints a not so solid overall picture of what happened.

I was excited to get my hands on this book and once I did I couldn’t finish it quick enough. I feel like it gave a very detailed account of many different instances in which central banking ruined countries and its people. International bankers have been the reason for so much death and destruction in history and this book makes that very clear. “On 17 November 1917, the Rothschilds, fearful that replication of this extraordinary example of freedom and prosperity would destroy their malevolent banking empire, instigated and financed the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, which wrecked and ruined a wonderful country and resulted in the deaths by murder and starvation, according to Alexander Solzhenitsyn, of 66 million innocent people.”

Good premise, super interesting knowledge of history and a lot that needs to be taught in schools, but unfortunately the book is missing detail for each subject. It's too brief.

It is often short accounts of a widely received piece of history with a unanimous appeal that traces of alleged truth lie—are we reading the truer piece of the story, and is the majority telling the false?

Goodson's brief history of central banking conveys a core message—the practice of usury via interest loans, which is the bedrock of our modern economy, finds its roots in Jewish practices centuries ago, which have, in almost every instance, usurped the nation's wealth, employment and economic progress for the benefit of those lending it. A state-run system on privately controlled banks will inevitably lead to undulating cycles of boom, recession and the occasional systemic breakdown.

None of our last few crises was not the result of privately controlled banking leading to a dependence of the money supply and credit on interest-bearing currency, inevitably eroding the economic system and shutting off growth trajectories previously achieved with state-banking.

Goodman was adamant in the fact that state-banking in early last century Japan, pre-WW2 Germany and European economies all achieved skyrocketing rates of production, near perfect employment and little economic fluctuation, until the Rothschilds and their adherents involved them in wars or affairs which deterred nations from their previous utilitarian route of state-banking into a path of unending, collective subordination via (privately controlled) central banking. It was also intriguing that almost all adherents of this healthier (but unprofitable) system ended up in death—either by assassination or mishaps well before senility.

All written histories are subjective, and the popularity of history is not a proxy for factuality. We may never know which unorthodox depictions contain more grains of truth, but all contrarian thoughts and writings will serve to make one more mature and complete.

What I can quote from the little I read:
"..Major factors in the decline of the Roman Empire were the concentration of wealth,[7] the absence of mining deposits for industrial production, *and the vast importation of non-White slaves with the resultant degradation of the genetic value of the nation*." I'd rather not get my information from a racist eugenist writer.

I mean, I should've known from the use -in a completely approving way- of the slur "sheenies" in the foreword of the book.
Lots of "he did, they said", very little sources to back up his claims.
The author lacks objectivity and cannot go past his personal beliefs that suffuse his writing.

Tons of bibliography sources at the end, but quite a few times while reading there were statements made by the author that I wish had been sourced specifically so I could verify something I read and thought "There's no way that's true." Even from someone that loves a good conspiracy, multiple times I found myself thinking "Oh really, the Rothschilds did it again? That's what we're going with?" Enjoyable read nonetheless, and there's even more smoke around a lot of these fires than I was ever made aware by history books. On to Tower of Basel and learning about the Bank for International Settlements next.

Nazi and antisemitic propaganda where real facts are mixed with falsifications and lies. If someone completely believes/ enjoys this crap - get some help, get smarter, visit museums, read more. It is the worst book I have ever read so far- completely pointless read due to false information in it- I hate being fed lies. It's like an insult - I am not that dumb to agree with an author but he believes some people are?
