“Why Polymaths” is an inspiring book, to say the least. Not only does it provide interesting theoretical knowledge, but it also inspired me in taking action. Starting from the many polymaths throughout history (many of whom were previously unknown to me), to how the concept of being a polymath has changed over the past two centuries, it was truly eye-opening.
However, the central part of the book was the most inspiring to me. It delved into the theory behind different aspects of polymathic people and concepts, providing examples of both present and past individuals and how they managed and integrated various areas of knowledge. This section helped me understand myself better and spontaneously gave me tons of ideas that I could pursue. So much, that I started doing them.
I cannot review every part of the book because there are so many and they cover such a wide range of topics. The incredible knowledge presented in "Why Polymaths" never feels arid or arbitrary. Everything has a purpose and is exemplified by real polymathic individuals from various backgrounds.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who even has a slight desire to broaden their perspectives, because it’ll definitely do it!
