With summer just around the bend, Bedford High School is gearing up for the end-of-the-year alumni banquet, gathering and celebrating graduates from throughout the years. Charlotte is busy baking pies for the event, but when she hears a rumor that Kevin Slater, her grandchildren’s father, is coming back for the high school reunion, the bottom falls out of her world. Why would he return after all this time? Does he know the children are in Bedford? As Charlotte looks into safeguarding her custody rights, she struggles with her fear of losing her grandkids all over again.

While the children wrestle with the possibility of seeing their father, Emily is hard at work making an old-fashioned dress for a fund-raiser. But what’s her real motivation for wanting to win? Christopher is gearing up for an adventure with his friend Dylan, and Sam is trying to work up the guts to ask his crush to the prom. Will one bad decision ruin his chances with her? What will happen to the children if Kevin does come for them? Are the family’s roots deep enough to keep them together?

It is the end of the school year and time for the alumni banquet, so Charlotte has to bake 10 pies. It is also time for the prom and all the drama about going to prom. Emily is making a dress and trying to win the dress contest. Christopher is excitied about going on a campout and keeping secret something he over heard. Charlotte and Bob have heard their grandchildren’s father is coming back to town and will take the kids. They have a hard time deciding if they should get a lawyer or not. The

Seeds of Faith has brought the end of the school year Charlotte and her family. Rumor has it Kevin Slater will be coming for the high school reunion and she fears he will take the children. Sam is trying to get brave enough to ask the girl he has a crush on to prom. Emily is making a dress for a fund raiser. Christopher is looking forward to a camp-out with his friend Dylan. It seems the children are adjusting to life in Nebraska. Sam is realizing his father is not the best choice to live with. This one is by Kristin Eckhardt.

Another great read in the Heather Creek Series. My library only has sporadic books of this series and I had placed an "out of county" request for it months ago. They must have purchased the book themselves because it is the property of my local library now. I love my librarians!!

Another good book in the series! Can't wait to read the next one. This book had Charlotte worried that her grandchildren's father was coming to take them away. Emily was working on a 1950's prom dress, Sam liking a girl from school. With help from God and friends everybody has a good May.

This series is probably the "fluffiest" of all the series that I love. It is a very easy read and it is just perfect, before bed reading for me. I am excited to continue on in this series.

Charlotte's world is rocked after her friend Hannah tells her of a conversation she overheard. Christopher inadvertently overhears Charlotte talking to Bob about it and now Christopher's world is in turmoil.

Sam is feeling awkward about asking the girl he likes to the prom especially after he's been seeing another guy hanging around her.

Emily wants to design and sew a dress for a fundraiser.

Pete's girlfriend wants him to go to the class reunion with her but he doesn't want to go.

This book reminds me that too often we jump to conclusions when we only know (or think we know) part of the story.
