I watched the whole of the Wire a while back and in that TV show there was a character called Lester Freeman and he was a cop that looked at the bigger picture. While all the other cops were arresting low level street crime criminals and the occasional big drug bust, Freeman was following the money. He is meticulously tracing the money trail all the way to the top. Governors and Senators and Judges. Idris Elba plays a drug dealer king pin who manages to make enough money to go straight. He gets in bed with a power player and invests a huge amount of money. The power player in the two thousand dollar suit and high flying connections robs Idris Elba character of all his money. Without violence or shots being fired. So the real players are the suit wearing politicians and lobbyists.
Anyway it was a great TV show and Freeman was my favourite character and it is well worth the watch. Now what Freeman does in the show Jim Marrs did in real life. Freeman was a cop and Marrs was a journalist. Jim Marrs shows in The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy that very money trail. Or at least one tentacle. The money always ends up at the top. Bankers and Lobbyists. This book is worth a read.

So what is money? Promissory Notes of Paper. Is money real? Or just paper or a figure on a computer screen? Is it really MOONY? Like the Moon. A false light, phony. Fake. Make believe. We crave this paper to get on a higher ledge on the virtual pyramid of life.

I love football and the Premier League in particular. The amount of Moony involved in sport is really getting to me. Absurd! Crazy!
Footballers earning £300,000 a week!

Yet the NHS is failing because of austerity.

Del Amitri:

"While American businessmen snap up Van Gogh's for the price of a hospital wing."

Sums it up really.
Ironic how an artist's work seems to become more valuable once they are dead.
How many life saving operations could all this money fund? All this money in entertainment?

How much money is in circulation?

If the NHS is broke and not fit for purpose, how come there is this amount of money in sport? Priorities right? Or wrong!!!!

The money or moony is not real. It is all illusion, make believe, false, phony, deception!

Some say that in time money will be replaced with a chip in the back of the hand or forehead. In some countries it already exists. Just like the film IN TIME.

Look around, it is not far away. This dystopian world where the capstone will soon be placed on the pyramid of life. No chip, no chance.

People or, sheeple, go to work for tokens. Sports stars and celebrities get more tokens than the masses. The mob. The baying crowd. The mob go to work ( 'Add more bricks to the pyramid structure that enslaves') to build society and infrastructure, all compartmentalized, all collecting their own pittance of a wage. A surgeon who saves lives gets less than a sports star! A sports star who gets copious amounts of tokens doing something that the sports star enjoys. What a life! A surgeon however does not. I think it should be the other way around. The more lives the surgeon saves the more he gets bestowed upon him or her. The financial people of this world are messed up. Profit! Profit! Profit! Instead of compassion, compassion, compassion. Take away this concept of money and profit and for sure people will do things for each other out of love and compassion and these filthy rich oligarchs who think they are going to have a New World Order in which, they are the Pharoes and the rest of us chattle. Take away the concept of wealth and they have nothing. Stop buying the products. Stop subscribing to their bullshit and it will all implode. It really is that simple. No profit, no war, no money no servitude.

If there was a cataclysm and everybody had to survive on their wits, money was irrelevant, how would these billionaire few survive without their profit? What would they have to offer? Maybe they have already prepared for such a disaster.

Where are you on this pyramid? Do you work your fingers to the bone for a little overtime? So your boss can have a brand new car? Do your work friends do the same so the boss of your boss can have a new house? Do thousands of worker bees work hard so the CEO can buy a new jet? Profit only goes up, not down. It elevates to the elites who enjoy their opulent lives whilst hospitals close. We are distracted by entertainment. The apathy is tangible. The elites love it. The greater the apathy the more in ones face it becomes. Celebrities sitting on fortunes and making videos asking the public to give £2 a month for a charity. They show horrifying pictures of war torn and famine ridden countries to pull on ones heart strings. It is absurd that it is the very elites who own the corporations that Profit from all this war and destruction of countries. These elites are in positions of great power because people crave the money and strive to be like them. Apathy, apathy, apathy. Jealousy, jealousy, jealousy. Envy! Envy! Envy!!!!👿

Eventually capitalism eats itself. When the few at the top own it all the whole structure becomes top heavy, cumbersome, unsteady and collapses. Then the meek shall inherit the Earth. Maybe this has happened many times in the past and the Earth is getting smaller, and will eventually implode, like a black hole. Man my head is aching!😰

Only a few people in a populated area get handouts whilst others struggle. It is divide and conquer. Neighbours don't seem to talk to each other like is was in our past. People live in a bubble. It is all design. Order Out Of Chaos.😱

The propaganda that comes out of Hollywood and the MSM is the gravy train that pushes this paradigm. Holly 😈👿 Wood that Druidic Magical Place. Where images and manifestations come forth through the black mirror we call a screen. Screens are every where! Orwell must be turning in his grave. I am certain that when he penned 1984 he had no idea that people in the future would actually be holding screens in their hands. Consume! Buy! Consume! I remember watching an episode of Star Trek from the original series with William Shatner. 1958 I think it was made and Kirk flips open his 'mob phone'. Oops! Communicator to talk to the mother ship. A mob phone in 1958. Was Gene Roddenberry psychic like George Orwell? To even think of the concept and put it in a TV show. Tomorrows fiction is today's reality. As for Hollywood certain well known actors have fallen out with that Magical Place. They have found themselves on the wrong side of the law. Never made films since and found their homes repossessed and bank accounts empty. So the money never existed in the first place. A figure on a PC screen. One keystroke and just like Magic...it's gone.💀

We are living in a Renaissance and slowly the truth is becoming too visible to ignore. The Internet is now censored to the point where only fake news and propaganda and rhetoric and misinformation is available. Is 5G and smart meters and the smart grid and the internet of things and the chipping of the worker bees the last piece of the jigsaw for a New World Order? An Old World Order more like!👻👻👻👻
Where the Pharoes are revered like Gods. In this Pyramid of life.

Is this why the All Seing Eye is on the Dollar Bill? Sauron springs to mind.

Is the smart grid, that will connect us all, going to be the virtual capstone they are hoping to place on the pyramid?

The Banks are conduits that control the currency as it flows from its source in the City of Londinium. 🐯👍

I have so enjoyed delving into this valuable plethora of information on every aspect of the toxic, corrupt country we live in (and world). From mortgage buyouts to Project Paperclip, to fluoride and the many aspects of health-related lies and poisonings, and so much more. The vast majority of the information I knew, but then again I am very deeply delved into these types of truth seeking, however there were so many surprising tidbits that I DIDN'T know about! I found the tidbit about ADHD especially interesting, as I too, was diagnosed at 5 years old and given Ritalin. Thankfully, my parents realized the harmful effects of the medicine and took me off of it. I can definitely see how this "disease" is grossly misdiagnosed, if it even exists at all! As the book points out, there are zero brain scans or physical proof that it even exists more than in name. I'm also super grateful I was homeschooled. I loved the homeschooling section in this book and felt every part of it in my life experience. It definitely taught me to be independent and a free thinker, and most of all to RESEARCH EVERYTHING for myself. While I knew the truth of the political sections, some of it was a bit deep in the details. Overall, amazing, well researched, well rounded book that everyone should read, because we truly have been taught SO many untruths. I'll end with a quote by Napoleon Bonaparte: "History is a set of lies that have been agreed upon."

Jim Mrr's conspiracy theories have to be taken "with a grain of salt". Although his book is full of source material, some of it may be questionable. However, if you want a read that will have you questioning what is going on in the world today, and the causes that have brought about the coming "World Order", this is a must read.

The book is not only informative but provides a lot of material for some serious thought, and one may find some comedy in his beliefs.

The best way to describe the is to give you what Marrs believes to some answers to our problems. This will only be a short list of what is in the book and does not go into detail as to the whys, whats, wherefores.

Is floridation of our water (floride is a poison) a conspiracy to cause us to act as zombies?

Is he current economic mess really the result of a plan stretching back to 1913?

Is out intelligence level being lowered by the "dumbing down" of parents, teachers, and school systems?

Are Pharmaceutical Companies price fixing by holding proprietary information and patents on discoveries made in publicly supported academic institutions?

Should the government stop paying farmers to not plant crops and any surplus be purchased by the government to feed poorer nations?

Should only those who pay into Social Security be allowed to benefit from the system?

These and many other questions are taken to task by Marrs and whether you agree with him or not, the book is thought provoking and attention getting.

This is a difficult book to review; at times I found myself nodding in greement, at other times I found myself wanting to throw the book across the floor! The thing I most hated about this book is there were far too many references given to internet sites; if you are looking for information, the internet is one of the last places I would look (unless of course I was searching for the location of a primary source). To be honest, the greatest wrong in this book is the idea of privitizing the school system, when you complain about the privitization of other government entities, don't you think that the lesson would be learned?
All in all, it was an interesting book and I am sure some people would call it a conspiracy theorist book.

The book is a collection of articles exposing the origins and threat of sodium fluoride in water, the Federal Reserve, the Patriot Act, the New World Order, Swine Flu and much more. But he doesn't address 911. Plenty of other swindles that use fear, uncertainty and doubt to persuade the gullible to trust the authorities. Wake up time. Three stars because it's valuable information, so far as it goes.

This book was an excellent read and packed with information including a 20 page index that makes it easy to jump back to the page with that useful piece of information. I've criticised books like this in the past for making wild claims without citing any sources but Jim Marrs included 44 pages of sources which lend credibility to his claims.

The book opens with a zombie theme, with particular emphasis on zombie banks (banks that should be dead but are artificially kept alive through fraud and tax-payer bailouts). Then it moves into conspiracy theories which I normally find entertaining but many of these were shocking. (I found it easy to verify many of these claims in seconds. Have you done an internet search on "Codex Alimentarius", the dangers of water fluoridation, "Dead Microbiologists", "Dr. Rife's Discovery", "Aspartame", or "Eugenics"?) The theme moves into zombie people noting that a dumbed-down population is easier to govern and that adverse health effects are a bonus to those seeking to reduce social security payouts and address the perceived problem of overpopulation. Then on to mechanisms of control including the Patriot Act, Police State, and FEMA but opposition to these control mechanisms is also covered, from the Posse Comitatus Act to the Oath Keepers group. Finally the book concludes with solutions.

My description doesn't do the book justice so I'd like to share some quotes with you:

"Americans do not need an economics degree to figure out that the nation is past bankruptcy. Using the most conservative estimates, there is more than $70 trillion of American debt compared with about $13 trillion in gross domestic production. This does not include the $300 trillion or more in toxic derivative debt."

Quoting Professor William Black, "AIG made bad loans but with guarantees and charged big fees up front," Black explained. "So, they booked a lot of income. Paid enormous bonuses.... And they got very, very rich... Under Secretary [of the Treasury Timothy] Geithner and Under Secretary [Henry] Paulson before him ...took $5 billion... in U.S. taxpayer money and sent it to a huge Swiss Bank called UBS [through AIG]. [UBS] was defrauding the taxpayers of America. And we were bringing a criminal case against them. We eventually get them to pay a $780 million fine, but wait, we gave them $5 billion. So, the taxpayers of America paid the fine of a Swiss bank. And why are we bailing out somebody who is defrauding us?"

Citing a study at the University of Vancouver Medical School, naturopathic physician and author Dr. Joel D. Wallach indicated that vanadium, a soft white metallic element found in certain minerals, could replace insulin in adult onset diabetics, a condition representing 85 percent of all diabetics. In a 2005 speech, Wallach said, "I've seen it work on hundreds and hundreds of people. Now to me this is criminal. If you write to Hills Packing Company that makes Science Diet dog food...high tech foods for animals...and say, 'How many minerals, exactly, is in Science Diet dog food?' They'll write back there's 40 minerals. You write Checkerboard Square in St. Louis, Ralston Purina, and say 'Just how many minerals are in your rat pellets for laboratory rats?' They'll say there are 28 minerals. I'll give anybody...a crisp new $100 bill if you can find me a human infant formula in a grocery store that has more than 11 [minerals].... So dogs get 40 minerals, rats get 28 minerals, and human infants get 11. Is that fair? No! Doesn't matter if you're talking about SMA, Similac, Isomilk, ProSoyB. In fact, that's why they call Similac, Similac, because it lacks everything."

"When heated to more than 86 degrees Fahrenheit, aspartame releases free methanol, which breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde in the body. Keep in mind the human body temperature is 98.6 degrees and that formaldehyde is a deadly neurotoxin."

"Donald Rumsfeld was CEO of Searle, that conglomerate that manufactured aspartame. For 16 years the FDA refused to approve it, not only because it's not safe but because they wanted the company indicted for fraud."

A September 2009 Canadian study from researchers at the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control and Laval University also called into question the effectiveness of the swine flu vaccine. The study indicated that people vaccinated against seasonal flu are twice as likely to catch the swine flu. The lead researchers from the study were prevented from speaking in public until their study was reviewed and published. Despite skepticism over the study's results (which contradict previous governmental assurances that swine flu inoculations are safe), several provincial Canadian health agencies announced that they were suspending seasonal flu vaccinations. "It has confused things very badly," said Dr. Ethan Rubinstein, head of adult infectious diseases at the University of Manitoba. "And it has certainly cost us credibility from the public because of conflicting recommendations. Until last week, there had always been much encouragement to get the seasonal flu vaccine." He said the study methodology appeared sound. "There are a large number of authors, all of them excellent and credible researchers [of this study]. And the sample size is very large - 12 or 13 million people taken from the central reporting systems in three provinces. The research is solid." And one should not forget the swine flu scare of 1976, when President Gerald R. Ford and some forty million Americans dutifully took swine flu shots. And what was the death toll from that flu? Exactly one- the poor soldier who started the scare in the first place.

In April 2009, President Obama's science adviser John P. Holdren stated publicly that the federal government was going to increase geoengineering, perhaps to include spraying "pollutants" into the upper atmosphere to retard global warming. Some suspicious researchers saw this as the first public acknowledgement of what many people believe is a controversial aerial spraying program known as Chemtrails. Holdren gave no details on what the "pollutant" particles might be, nor did he explain how they would be dispersed into the sky. Some scientists, including the late Dr. Edward Teller, the "father of the hydrogen bomb," a founder of the "Star Wars" missile defense system, and the inspiration for the character Dr. Strangelove in Stanley Kubrick's 1964 film of that name, have proposed using balloons or military aircraft to seed the sky with millions of tons of sulfur or heavy metals to create a cloud cover to deflect sun rays and prevent further heating of the Earth. Some scientists warned such a program would turn blue skies milky white and perhaps cause droughts and further ozone depletion. Holdren conceded the possibility of "grave side effects," but said, "We might get desperate enough to want to use it." Many researchers believed that Holdren's proposed program has been secretly under way since about 1997. Reports of chemtrails, jet plumes emitted from planes that hang in the air for hours and do not dissipate like condensation trails, often blanketing the sky in criss-cross patterns, have increased dramatically over the last 10 years.

"This legislation can undermine the general public's ability to carry out their daily lives. It can red-flag your bank account if you deposit or withdraw a certain amount of money and this amount keeps changing. Once the government was notified if there was more than $10,000 involved. By 2010, this amount had dropped to $5,000. In early 2006, Rhode Island retired schoolteacher Walter Soehnge and his wife tried to pay down an excessive credit card bill with a JC Penney MasterCard. They sent in a check for $6,500 to pay down their debt. When the Soehnges found the money had not been credited to their account, they began to make inquiries. They were told that when a payment is much larger than usual, Homeland Security must be notified and that the money is held until a threat assessment is made."

This is a look at the world around us, and how America is being systematically destroyed, but not from the "usual" sources. It is not a pretty picture.

Anyone who takes vitamins or nutritional supplements needs to know about the Codex Alimentarius Commission. Under the auspices of the UN and the World Health Organization, it is an international commission whose aim is to ban the sale of all herbs, vitamins and minerals for therapeutic purposes, and to have all nutritional supplements available only through a doctor's prescription. Do an internet search for "National Security Strategy Memorandum 200." Written by Henry Kissinger, it became official US policy in 1975. It advocates the radical de-population of the Third World, and is in line with elite support of eugenics, to get rid of all those "useless eaters."

Politicians keep talking about how American schools will prepare students to thrive in the 21st Century. The problem is that American schools, based on the Prussian model, were never designed to prepare students for anything, except to be quiet drones, who are paid to work, and not think. Normal activities like taking pictures around town can get a person arrested by Homeland Security. Do you remember President Obama's 2009 speech to schoolchildren across America? According to some, it was political indoctrination that would turn America's young people into mindless, Obama-loving zombies.

All banks pay into an FDIC reserve fund, which is supposed to help banks in trouble. In 1981, the federal balance sheet said that there was $11 billion in the fund. One day, the FDIC Chairman called the Treasury Secretary and asked to visit and see the money. He was told that there is no money; it was all put into the general fund long ago. So if a bank is in trouble, the Treasury simply borrows the money. Simple, no?

This book touches on a whole host of other subjects, including FEMA camps, TSA airport body scans that are not deleted, the 2008 financial crisis, implanting people with microchips, and ways to not become a "zombie." As with nearly anything by Jim Marrs, this easily reaches the level of Wow. It has something to upset nearly everyone. It is very highly recommended.

The trillion dollar conspiracy is completely captivating. As a person who doesn't read many books, I can honestly say this is one of my favorite books I've read in a while. Me being a true history buff, as well as having an affinity for conspiracy theorys I found that this book completely fulfilled that role. I enjoyed feeling like an insider or a man behind the scene of the US government. As you may believe this book definitely focuses on the economics of the US capitalist machine, but also touches upon scary topics as over population and conspiracies to cause mass death through out the world. For me a person who previously didn't know why we had economic collapses and really could have only blamed the president. This book had helped me change my views on our officials and the structure of the government, showing me a point of view that made more sense then the malarkey I was being told before. What I believed to be true before now I find very fictional, for example before I believed the president was the most powerful man when in truth he is just a dummy and is consistently manipulated by his agenda set by his party, controlled by his contributors and an advocate for the plutocratic (a government controlled by wealth, basically who has money has control) government we truly have. So if you are interested in finding out the truth and finding out the real reason why we're in a economic downfall, this is the book for you it is full of information and it will leave you in awe considering the facts that you considered to be true before. This is a great read for any one in high school and up and I believe that this book plays no bias towards demographic. I can't say enough about this book and I plan on reading more by Jim Marrs.

No discredit to Jim here. The source material is quite accurate being that I have allocated over 20k hours to NWO study. This is where it gets disturbing and why I give Marrs 3 stars. Lest we forget history Jackson ran on the platform of Jackson and no bank. Then we get the war of 1812 (another engineered war) to force the 2nd bank of America. People in those days were quite aware of the dangers of fractional reserve systems as they are mathematically impossible to survive. The end goal being the seizure of all real assets through illeagal interest on fake currency. Basically what was seen in the great Depression and the recent fake derivatives scandal. All that is necessary now is to make enough people aware of this and start a new rebellion. This of course will be controlled and opposed by the police state and backed up by the majority in ignorant denial. Gets worse from their but I'll leave the rabbit hole alone. The likes of Jim Marrs and Alex Jones, David Icke, David Wilcock etc are all in the limelight of justice and truth but there is a very sinister agenda behind it. You don't really find books like this in Canada being this country is an English corporation officially. The attack on the US is the focus and has been for some centuries.

The facts are irrefutable: the US is in a downward spiral and one could be overwhelmed by the info here. I like that there is 'what we can do' in the final pages. Marrs is a tireless investigative reporter who gives us the straight talk on how things are. It's up to us to take action... Can't say I felt hopeful after reading this, but I am definitely much more informed and now watch the 'news' with a 'different eye'.

In The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy, Jim Marrs purports (on the back cover, at least) to establish that a group of puppet masters and secret societies (primarily politicians, corporate executives, and bankers) engineered the 2008 financial collapse decades in advance as part of a master plan to establish a one-world totalitarian government, the New World Order. I found it an intriguing premise and went into it with an open mind - I have unorthodox political views that don't fall to the right or left, a deep distrust of both government and big business, and interest in a lot of topics people would consider "fringe."

Unfortunately, the book didn't live up to its promise, instead presenting a disorganized, meandering account of literally dozens of topics, most only vaguely related to the central premise; throughout, Marrs contradicted himself frequently, failed to make his case, and never offered any substantial evidence for huge parts of it.

Marrs started out as a newspaper reporter, and it's easy to see that in the book, which is broken down into short sections that read like news stories with frequent editorializing.

So let's start with what he got right: the early part of the book briefly discussed the financial crisis and the bank bailouts, illustrating the extensive links between banks, corporations, and politicians. Important stuff, related to the subject, and the author brings together some good quotes from senators and economists from across the political spectrum to make the point.

There are a couple of other points throughout the book where he touches on real, significant issues. Nazi scientists were brought over to the US and protected from prosecution, in exchange for their knowledge and research (Operation Paperclip). The Federal Reserve is in fact operated under a shroud of secrecy by private bankers (despite liberals' tendency to dismiss any criticism of the Fed as "conspiracy theories," it's a simple fact that the vast majority of the Boards of Directors for each of the regional Feds are comprised of corporate banking executives, who have repeatedly shown they cannot be trusted.) The US National Security Council did indeed issue a Memo that called for population control in the global south, aka the "Third World," to safeguard American financial interests. Psychiatric drugs are over-prescribed to school children, and he liberally quotes from Dr. Marcia Angell, a great source on criticism of drug companies from a science-based perspective. The review of police attacks against G20 protesters was accurate and despicable, as was the description of their brutal crackdown on marijuana users. And the overview of how the Bush administration used fear of terror attacks to push the PATRIOT act through was fairly thorough. The description of how the Obama administration continued Bush-era policies was accurate (and Trump continued the drone strikes, secret courts, and mass deportations emphasized by the Obama administration, and then Biden continued Trump's policies). There's a blatant revolving door between corporations and federal legislative agencies, and a high concentration of extremely wealthy people with ties to all these elements in the IMF, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Trilateral Commission. All that is true, and important.

Sadly, these elements don't go far enough to save the book from it's deep flaws:

-Marrs barely discusses the supposed subject of the book, the NWO's planning of the financial crisis.

-He repeatedly calls capitalist billionaires and politicians that use their power to protect corporations in exchange for campaign donations "socialist," which is not even close to an accurate use of the word. Socialism is a particular economic system, not just anything you think is bad. Total silence on corporate brutality and crackdowns against unions that could undermine profits, and the role socialist groups play in those grassroots, anti-corporate movements.

-He contradicted himself over and over, one second listing the ACLU as being "funded by the globalist socialists," and then turning around and referencing their attacks on the PATRIOT Act which, you know, violated civil liberties. He lists all the ways in which deregulation of industry has led to corporations screwing over the public in every way possible, then turns around and demonizes federal regulations after demonstrating the negative effects deregulation had. After showing over and over again how those with money and power pull the strings to enrich themselves at our expense, he then uses a quote defending the exact same business practices that lead to those circumstances (near the end of section 2, arguing that you shouldn't "spread class hatred" against the plutocrats - the same ones who are at the center of the evil plot to destroy the world as we know it?)

-He correctly called out the CIA for its domestic terroristic acts but totally failed to mention the numerous times the CIA also intervened to overthrow foreign socialist governments that threatened capitalist US business interests (as with Salvador Allende in Chile, or the literally dozens of attempts they made to assassinate Castro and overthrow the Cuban government). In fact a huge part of the CIA's mission has been upholding the global plutocracy that the United States is at the center of.

On that note, he claimed that the FBI designated anyone who "didn't recognize as legitimate the Communist government of Cuba" as a possible terrorist, even though US intelligence agencies have themselves tried to repeatedly overthrow the Communist government. So that's totally contradictory. Okay, he might respond that the battle between capitalism and communism is a sham to advance globalist power. If that's the case then why in the world would the FBI suddenly decide to demand people legitimize a communist government, this undermining their manufactured conflict?

-Marrs spent well over 50 pages railing against vaccines, psychiatric medication, and essentially every form of conventional medicine, liberally quoting Mike Adams of the crank site NaturalNews as though he were an expert on the subject, and also advancing nutritional supplements as the fix for every illness, from depression to cancer. At one point he gives a huge list of doctors who were supporters of Royal Rife, his microscope, and his pseudoscientific "vibrate germs to death" theory - I looked up all of those doctors, and not a single one lived in the last 50 years. Not great support there. If you can't find one single doctor to credit the guy in literally half a century, maybe there wasn't much to his claims. Fun fact, he also draws on Dr. Marcia Angell in his criticism of pharmaceutical giants, and Angell herself, a massive critic of drug companies, also has extensively debunked most of the pseudoscientific homeopathy Marrs pushes, which also contradicts his claim that every doctor debunking these "natural remedies" has been paid off by drug companies - apparently he found Angell's criticisms of them strong enough to publish.

-I tried to independently verify a huge number of the anecdotes and quotes he supplies, including the connections early anti-fluoride activists supposedly had with I.G. Farben and the Nazis, and could find no corroboration for a bunch of what was presented as factual. The thing is, I don't agree with water fluoridation, but theres just no evidence for his statements about its supposed history as a mass mind control drug used by the Nazis and Soviets, and a lot of the details he gives about the source of that "knowledge" is just straight up wrong.

-The section on global warming is ridiculous. Marrs accuses politicians and climate scientists of alarmism over carbon emissions for profit or totalitarian aims... and yet manages to ignore that not only is the fossil fuel insustry one of the most powerful and politically-connected lobbying forces in the world, with a huge financial incentive to discredit climate science blaming fossil fuels for carbon emissions, but that the most powerful fossil fuel corporations currently in existence originated with Standard Oil, founded by none other than John D Rockefeller! Throughout the entire book, Marrs points out any minor connection to Rockefeller, except when talking about what would profit the corporations Rockefeller literally started. Never once does it seem to occur to Marrs that he's echoing claims made by wealthy politicians funded by the fossil fuel industry, founded by the man he points to as a central player in the globalist conspiracy. Unreal.

-He has a really annoying way of inserting his editorializing with phrases like "some conspiracy researchers think..." or "But some believe..." Gee, Jim, I wonder who you're talking about? Just argue your own point. You're writing a book, not a newspaper article where you have to maintain some semblance of balance. He also tries hard to present everyone he quotes as some kind of authority, using phrases like "experienced health researcher" to describe someone with no training or expertise who happens to run a blog that he agrees with.

-The writing is often pretty sloppy, with a lot of weirdly worded sentences that don't flow well. Minor complaint, but it's there.

There's a bunch more I could go into but suffice it to say:

TL;DR. The book is somewhat entertaining and touches on some important subjects, but also the author has no idea what he's talking about politically, his story is not focused, he repeatedly contradicts himself and his narrative, pushes unsupported claims that in many cases can be tied DIRECTLY back to corporate lobbyists, and moreover fails utterly to point out some of the most egregious ways the government and plutocrats team up to control the world (he's totally silent on the continual use of covert CIA programs to overthrow democratically elected states, for one thing, and of corporate control of police in union busting operations) because they demonstrate the ways in which the global financial system is at war against any group trying to undermine capitalism, which doesn't fit with his "everything I don't like is socialism" claims.

I'm currently reading Marrs' book Crossfire now, which is leagues better - the Kennedy assassination is a subject of which he clearly has a deep understanding - unlike much of what's in this book.

3.5. Many people will say it’s all based on conspiracy theory but I found a lot of great factual information and he gave me a lot to think about. I may not come to the same conclusions he does in some situations but his perspective was interesting.

I would definitely read future books and articles.

His section on the patriot act and how our government is spying on us was very concerning. Sure would like to see these programs shut down.

Got 2 stars from me for some good quotes, facts and info. Otherwise, junk and trash. Regret the time spent. I liked the piece about fluoride though, which is allegedly used by governments to control the minds of naive citizens. Had a nice laugh, thank you very much.

An interesting read, albeit one that is certainly controversial in many circles. The value of this book is that it will, hopefully, inspire conversation; I say hopefully because one of the tenets of The Trillion-Dollar Conspiracy is that there aren't enough thinkers anymore—the people who read, write, question and otherwise engage with the world around them. Hence the term "zombie" in the title, a term that is most certainly applicable in the way the author is using it.

Indeed, the zombies discussed in The Trillion-Dollar Conspiracy are very much more frightening than anything The Walking Dead dishes up. Zombies, the ones that would rather zone out and watch TV ad infinitum and vote for their favourite dancing star instead of voting for a leader for their democracy. The sort of zombie that observes unthinkingly as its freedoms are eroded and is not bothered in the least because the zombie is comforted by the pretty pictures and soothing sounds bombarding its senses 24/7.

For these reasons, and many more, The Trillion-Dollar Conspiracy is a good read because it prompts people to engage in a dialogue.

Hopefully.

If enough people read.

When you mix half-truth with bunch of pseudo and bad "science" ideas, you get conspiracy, which can be used to control idiots. Either authors believes such nonsense or is a bit lost in his fear, trying to deal with ambiguity of life or is under influence or is making money out from idiots.

And note, conspiracy theories are loved by psychopathic personalities. A lot of time spent explaining how some big socialism brother watches you and does not allow to be free and do... what? That's the question, and that's a bit psychopatic, because I have nothing to fear about watching me if I do nothing illegal.

See, conspiracy theory can be created out from thin air (in this case author being a psychopatic personality). A bit truth, a bit priming, and you starting to catch true zombie's virus.

I like idea about zombies though, I often use it myself, but knowing zombies often say something about others what they truly think about themselves, I believe this book is true zombie's creation.

Conservatives becoming crazier and crazier thinking they will be able to control masses with air-made fears forever...

Excellent book with so many of the things I have come to understand over the years through research. Everybody knows the mainstream media spins the truth, hides the truth, decides on what is worth reporting, and, yes, flat out lies to us - yet many Americans still rely on Fox news and CNN for the facts. While I may not buy into all of Marrs' conclusions, there is more truth in this book than in a season of 20/20's or whatever they show now on mainstream media.

Moneymasters is a two-part documentary that I watched on youtube. I recommend it for economic understanding and for a lot of good English/American history that you will not get in a textbook.

I realize that anyone interested in these subjects are ostracized as conspiracists. This is just part of their ruse. I do not spend a lot of time reading these types of books, but I am not ignorant to what is really going on. I use banks, have credit cards and file taxes, but we do not allow the government to vaccinate, educate or indoctrinate our children.

Good book. Only read if you have a clue of what's going on. If not, it is a little deep for a sheople.

Well---if you are even remotely distrustful of government, Jim Marrs may just end you over the edge with this book!

This is a thoroughly researched work of obvious truth, deserving the attention of everyone affected by what governments do (that means EVERYBODY)!!!

I knew that the scope of governments' influence in our everyday lives was immense, but after reading this book, I just can't bring myself to trust anything our government is doing. Government is serving itself, and not the people, according to Marrs. He is so right!

A great read if you have any interest in protecting yourself from big government, which is getting bigger by the hour under the current administration.

Marrs gives dire warnings that everyone should heed. Be educated. Read this book. You'll be glad you did!

If unfamiliar with far reaching conspiracy theory this book is a fragmented, pancake stack of lunacy. Personally nothing in this book was eye-opening, despite the fact that every page addresses something alarming. I tend to lean towards agreement with even the most groundless of conspiracy theory: Oswald didn't do it, nor did Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, Fluoride in our water is poison AND it is medication without standardized dosing, The Titanic was actually its sister ship, The Athena, and was intentionally sunk, Bill Gates is not even close to the wealthiest on earth etc. So, my review should be considered with this information in context. Marrs as a writer is rather boring and unorganised. I recommend this to all who have yet to delve into conspiracy, but I doubt this work will create any converts. I suspect the people reading this are already down my alley.

A few interesting points but the non-stop drumbeat of America on the road to fascism as planned and executed by Bildebergers, CFR members and a cast of thousands for their benefit and our detriment got both tiresome and tedious after awhile. Okay, the way the federal reserve system goes about its business is akin to a crackhead doing ballet, or the Kennedy assassination was a put up job, or... Well, that's about how it went. However, the invisible strings of the puppet masters are pulling just doesn't follow. From either his evidence or his reasoning.

I'd probably listen to another work of his, since he obviously did his share of research, but, man o man do those conclusions veer straight off into cloud-cuckoo land.

I liked the book overall but I had the funny feeling throughout that I've read most of this stuff before, and I had, in the earlier works by Mr. Marrs such as Alien Agenda and Rule by Secrecy. The Trillion Dollar Conspiracy is a rehashing of prior material, but with a much more strident tone. There is such a constant refrain of socialism or fascism running amok that I wasn't never sure which economic theory we were currently suffering under; socialism or fascism? Later on, Mr. Marrs makes the case that it is both simultaneously by juxtaposing the two opposing philosophies the rest of the way. However, due credit has to go to Mr. Marrs for connecting all the dots for us.

Junk science regarding fluoride and vaccines. Junk history filled with what ifs and one offs given to illustrate this or that conspiracy. Of course, he ignores mounds of evidence, focusing on those Alex Jones like one offs -- but that's how the paranoid crowd operates.

Conspiracy Theorists serve the powers, BTW. I mean, if you believe the government is trying to control your mind with fluoride, when it does something evil -- like NSA wiretaps or influence pedalling -- the infraction seems tame.

Subjects that I already follow but some I have never heard before. Some of this book is theoretical. Could this happen? is a big question throughout. Control... police state... financial manipulation... etc. Some seems far fetched but once explained it's hard not to see how possible it could be. They even go into health care, education, food, and homeschooling is touched on. I had no idea they would talk about homeschooling!! Good read! A long book and mostly American information, but still a good read!!

Another excellent book from Jim Marrs. Marrs does an excellent job of putting together the big picture and separating fact from fiction. The book covers a wide variety of topics but also provides the context to see how they relate to the larger agendas at work. Marrs' writing is superbly readable, as usual. Marrs' books are excellent starting points for anyone dipping their toe into the shadowy world of globalist conspiracy, but also have something to offer to the seasoned reader on these topics.

Where.... to begin. Behind you!

This is stuffed with information. The info is complicated at times, but Marrs does a good job in explaining his thoughts and the thoughts of others. If half of the "conspiracies" are true, we're in deep poo. If you're a fan of the political world, or simply want to get a different view of the surrounding world - look no further. An interesting read and argument well laid out.

READ THIS NOW!!! This book should be on the required reading for ALL college students. Everyone else, just read it! This book changed my entire perspective on our world and government. I had my suspicions all along, but this just confirmed them. I know this has been the way of the world since mankind emerged, but all humanity has been completely lost at the top and I don't see a way out for any of us!

A step-by-step overview of the real 'news', of course excluded from the MSM and middle of the road media. That's why this book is great: it's the primer on modern unapproved knowledge.

Personally I knew much or even most, sans details, of this book's contents, so probably only 4-stars for me, but, really, this is a 5-star book.

If you want somewhere to start, start here.
