Call It Murder

When someone stole the valuable Lawrence jewel collection, the police ran round in ever-decreasing circles, until eventually the insurance company called me in. The snag to police methods was that they couldn't beat people up to get results. I could and I did and it led me to a stripper called Janey. What that led to was nobody's business, but along the trail were a Spanish master criminal, a couple of murders and an underground stone room which nearly did duty as my tomb.
