Old Peter is set in his a widow with an interest in home brewed wine and beer, and an allotment where he spends much of his time. The local riding stables provides sustenancefor his prize winning beans, and a mild flirtation for Peter until the owner catches him embracing his stable maid.

But life is about to change for Peter.
