Can you give a rating higher than five stars? One of Folletts's best books, and that is saying a lot! I was so engaged in the history of the time period! I was constanly checking Google to get the facts of what was being presented in the book! I was so intrigued that I watched the moives Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth! Ken Follett is one of my most favortie authors!
Follett is so good at filling in a lot of the gaps of the history you thought you knew, using characters so skillfully drawn that you find yourself forgetting that all of them are not "real" people.
