Very good in the continuation of the Trek series.
This book includes two stories, rated 4 stars. Even though some books are better than others, I love the Trek series. It is a wild and fun escape. I recommend reading them in order. Both of the stories below are also published individually.
4 stars for NO ESCAPE.
This story has several stories in process, to be continued in the next book. The primary story is about Kara fleeing from Cam because she wanted some independent time before she married. He initially thought she was dead, but as soon as he heard she was alive, five years later, he was able to hunt her and find her. Separate stories begin about Dari fleeing her future husband while learning about and how to stop the evil one. Jana mates with Yorin who takes her to his ice planet. Kari continues to flee from Death and helps Dari.

The main story is about Jek and Brynda, but several side stories are happening which will be continued in the next books. In this story, Jek finds his Sacred Mate Brynda who is a librarian in Texas. She has cancer and expects to die within the year. Jek takes her and they visit two planets on their way to his home. They visit Wassa where men have gills and live both underwater and above water. All females are slaves to the men on this planet. They next visit Dementia, where the men look like ape men from the movie Planet of the Apes. Brynda gets caught by the predatory vine which injects an aphrodisiac into her and drinks her fluids.

Loveeeeeeee this series by jaid black. Kara and Cam's story you have been reading about it from the previous books so the hype was worth it love love love. Kara doesn't not want to be Cam's true mate she was to go out and live a little but Cam is not trying to hear that Kara escapes and Cam goes to look for her and when He found her oh boy watch out.

3 1/2 stars. No Mercy: Cam and Kara's story. Pretty good tension between the characters but story is rushed and lots of other characters are thrown into the mix. Gives some idea of what Jaid Black's planning for other characters in future books. No Fear: Jek and Brynda's story: funny and sweet. Liked this one better.

Two erotic futuristic stories best read in series order. No Escape Kara wants freedom so flees from her fiance Cam – so many sub-stories hard to track. No Fear Librarian Brynda finds herself in a whole new world with Jek – best of the two with some variety.”

I wasn't a fan from page one. The "old world" language had me re-reading the same paragraph several times. The characters were not at all memorable and the supporting "cast" wasn't much better. This is a series that won't be re-visited.

Jaid would be an interesting author to sit down with and listen to her talk about where her ideas come from and how she lays out her story plots.
