I had a malayalam version of this great book.. I grew up reading this book and it's sweet language and narration... Great great book..please inform if anyone's having that malayalam book still with them so that I can get a chance to read it again.. My relatives borrowed it from me and never returned it back.... Missing it a lot....

Это что-то такое простое, такое светлое... Это как Чехов, которого не берут экранизировать молодые режиссеры, потому что просто! Но это видимая простота! Там столько эмоций, столько драматургии, решения, которые нужно принимать. Там все понятно, и тебе читать это просто, но как же там при этом все глубоко.

in the midst of the Russian Civil War, a disillusioned husband watches his wife walk off with what could be her lover, and decides to abandon house himself. He takes their six-year-old daughter on a miniature roadtrip through their village, its nature-sites, and its outskirts. Along the way they encounter an aggressive saleswoman offering fresh milk from her own cow, a neurotic boy who lashes out at his crush with anti-semitic insults, and one-off skirmishes between Reds and Whites. The husband recounts to his daughter how he and his wife first met, and the daughter invents some lovely songs. But will husband and wife reunite?

কাহিনি দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের শেষের দিকে মস্কোর উপকন্ঠে গ্রামের পটভূমিতে।
গ্রীষ্মের ছুটিতে সভেতলানা বাবা-মায়ের সাথে মস্কোর কাছেই নিরিবিলি গ্রামের দিকে গিয়েছিলো। মায়ের নীল-পেয়ালা ভাঙার অভিযোগ ঘাড়ে আসায় সভেতলানা আর বাবা মন খারাপ করে নিরুদ্দেশের উদ্দেশ্যে হাঁটা ধরলো। পথে তারা পাশকা আর অন্যদের ঝগড়াঝাঁটি মীমাংসা করা, লাল ফৌজের মহড়া, জলাভূমিতে আটকে পড়া, নদীতে স্নান, বাবা-মায়ের পরিচয়ের গল্প, মোটাসোটা ৪ বছরের ফিওদরের পিঠে চুরি - এমন অনেক কিছুর শেষে সিদ্ধান্ত নিলো মা তাদেরকে ভালোইবাসে, তাই ঘরে ফেরাই ভালো।

আর্কাদি গাইদারের 'ইশুকুল' পড়েছিলাম নিজ ইশকুলের লাইব্রেরি থেকে। ভালো লেগেছিলো দু:খের পাশাপাশি। এটা অন্যরকম ভালো লাগলো।

1936 ൽ റഷ്യൻ ഭാഷയിൽ രചിച്ച ഒരു ചെറു കഥയാണിത്. നായകൻ  തന്റെ ആറു വയസ്സായ സെത്വിലാന എന്ന മകളോടൊപ്പം  ഒരുദിവസം നടത്തുന്ന സാഹസിക യാത്രയാണ്  ഇതിൽ വിവരിക്കുന്നത്. വസന്തകാലം ചെലവഴിക്കാൻ അവർ കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ വന്നതാണ്. യുദ്ധം നടക്കുന്ന സമയമാണിത്. നായകൻ തന്റെ ഭാര്യയായ മൗറീഷ്യയെ യുദ്ധകാലത്ത് കണ്ടെത്തിയ സംഭവങ്ങൾ മകളായ സെത്വിലാനക്ക്‌ വിവരിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നു. തിരിച്ച് സായാഹ്നം ആയപ്പോൾ അച്ഛനും മകളും  വീട്ടിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തി, മൗറീഷ്യ അവരെ കാത്തിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു, അവൾ അവരെ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു.

റഷ്യൻ ബാലസാഹിത്യമാണിത്. നീലകപ്പ് പൊട്ടിച്ചതിന് അമ്മ വഴക്കു പറഞ്ഞത് പ്രതിഷേധിച്ച് അച്ഛനും മകളും വീട് വിട്ടു ഇറങ്ങുന്നു. ശരിക്കും കപ്പ് പൊട്ടിച്ചത് അവർ അല്ലായിരുന്നു. അവരുടെ യാത്രയിൽ നടക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളും കാണുന്ന കാഴ്ചകളും അനുഭവങ്ങളും തിരിച്ചറിവുകളുമാണ് ഇതിൽ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കുന്നു.
