I listened to the entire thing because the plot was intriguing. I found it to be poorly written. The many character was narcissistic and infuriating. I think it would’ve been a better story if the main character had been a detective, as opposed to a psychologist who couldn’t believe she was wrong or doing something stupid.
I’m glad I finished it. The ending had a great twist I never would’ve expected.

Interesting mystery but unfortunately I listened to it on audio and sorry, but I really didn't like the reader. She was too over the top for me.

The book itself was a good mystery that had a surprising ending. It did have a lot of characters to keep up with and I got lost a few times.

Stiefel, Vicki - Body Parts

Disposable travel read.
Grief counselor in Massachusetts gets involved with serial killer who collects ...
That's right, body parts! Trophies.

There were, say, 147 characters in this book, along with a fistful of red herrings and false trails.

The plot was OK, in a dumbed down way, though the idea that local cops and the FBI would permit a grief counselor to poke her nose into crime scenes was completely preposterous.

Many sloppy sections could have used an editor, though that is par for our era. "Do more with less" equates to slipping standards.

I read this while traveling. Cramped seats and terminals. Finished this in one terminal, left it behind for the next soul.
Already forgotten.

I felt like this is a good disposable read for a vacation. Main character lacks depth and development and the plot is a little jumpy and lacks some cohesion. Ending was a plot twist I didn’t expect (+ 1 star). Not a bad first book to a series. Hopefully the author’s writing improves with each book.

I really enjoyed this right up until the ending. The solution to the mystery was really far-fetched and unbelievable.

And Tally knows the murderer drugs people but she just eats random food the killer leaves out with no hesitation and gets drugged? Nothing else in the book would indicate she's that stupid.

There were so many characters in this book that I had a hard time keeping up with their parts in the story. I could clearly tell where some of the characters were going and my suspicions proved right. This is a decent read that wasn't heavy. This was my first book by the author and although parts of the book lagged I will read the rest of the series. I've found that the first novel that a character appears in tends be a bit choppy and gets better as the character progresses. I hope that happens with this character.

This is the first book I've read by Vicki Stiefel. Body Parts was an interesting book although I did find a couple spots that were dreadfully boring. In general though, Body Parts was a good read. I honestly never expected who the Harvester really was until they were unveiled.

I'm actually giving this book a 3.5, as it was an okay read but could have been better!

Pretty good mystery. Sometimes I'm not sure if I like a book more or less when I listen to it on audio. It is just different. I wanted to meet Tally Whyte (not sure of the spelling a dissadvantage of audio). She is trying to get to the bottom of some murders. Then her childhood friend is murdered and it is all connected.

I almost gave up on this book. It was too long, with too many characters to keep straight. But I found myself wanting to know who the killer was and why he was doing it. I was definitely surprised! That twist was pretty cool. The reveal however wasn't enough to say I loved the book. I wasn't even all that crazy about the main character.

Listened to the audiobook. Would have given 2 stars, because it didn't really hold my interest. But, the ending was great, total surprise and didn't see it coming. This was a first book in a series, hopefully the rest of the books are better. Not sure, If I want to read more in a new to me series, when there are so many I already like.

The book lagged in places but I continued to listen anyway.
The twist in the end was a good one. Didn't see that coming.. but getting there took a while.
