An inveterate explorer of the world's tapas bars and cafes, and finding more of interest in a wine and a beach than a museum or cathedral, he shares the thoughts and writings that have shaped his travel life and provides a road map for us all to enjoy on our own journey. If you have little or no interest in package tours, duty free, bourgeois hotels, Pacific cruises and the like, the snippets and vignettes here may just resonate a little.
