The Dom's Dungeon

Rate this book
Foster child. Teenage whore . Now a veterinarian, MacKensie's turned her life around, but the scars remain. She saves her affection for the animals who never judge or scorn her, but it's time to get out, move on from her past in Iowa. So, she arranges a vacation exchange to job hunt in Seattle. Although the house is lovely, one room is locked. Her years in foster care have given her two 'gifts': a neurosis about locked doors and the ability to open them. After she gets into the room, she's appalled...and intrigued. Chains and manacles, whips and paddles, odd benches with straps... When Alex returns home days early and finds MacKensie draped over the spanking bench in his locked dungeon, he's furious. But her wariness arouses his protective nature and curiosity, so he strikes a deal to keep her close--she'll act as his submissive in exchange for a place to stay and help finding a job. He'd planned to use the veterinarian to deter an ex-girlfriend, not replace her, but with MacKensie's compelling mixture of strength and vulnerability, the little sub slides right into his well-defended heart. Publisher's This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find Anal play, BDSM theme and elements (including/not limited to bondage, spanking, tethering), exhibitionism.

A New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, she’s renowned for writing heart-wrenching romances with laugh-out-loud dialogue, alpha males, and absolutely sizzling sex.

I met my dearheart when vacationing in the Caribbean. Now I won’t say it was love at first sight. Actually since he stood over me, enjoying the view down my swimsuit top, I might have been a tad peeved—as well as attracted. But although we were together less than two days and lived on opposite sides of the country, love can’t be corralled by time or space.

We’ve now been married for many, many years. (And he still looks down my swimsuit tops.)

Nowadays, I live in the west with this obnoxious, beloved husband and a seventy-pound lap-puppy. I’m a gardener, and I love nurturing small plants until they’re big and healthy and productive…and ripping defenseless weeds out by the roots when I’m angry. I enjoy thunderstorms, collecting eggs from the chickens, and visiting the local brewery for the darkest, maltiest beer on tap. My favorite way to spend an evening is curled up on a couch next to the master of my heart, watching the fire, reading, and…well…if you’re reading my books, you obviously know what else happens in front of fires.

***4 Stars***

This book was not what I expected.....but in a really good way.

I went in thinking I'd get a bit of

description

but got so much more, as this turned out to be more of an emotional journey for the leading lady.

Don't get me wrong, the book was

description

but just not to the level I expect with Cherise Sinclair (disclaimer: I've only read the first 3 of her Master of the Shadowlands books, so that's what I was basing, my now wrong, assumption on). The woman can write emotion just as brilliantly as she can torment with a flogger.

The patience and understanding that Alex showed during the course of this story was amazing. The guy had an untouched hard on for pretty much the first half of the book....but he understood Mac's boundaries and made sure that he was pushing her enough to make progress, but not too much where she would fully retreat from him. The connection between them formed seamlessly, and felt like a natural progression where each seam in their bond was expertly crafted.

I cannot tell a lie....there were parts of this book that made me uncomfortable. I just can't get on board with public humiliation and group sharing/touching. Not my cup of tea. But Ms. Sinclair does an excellent job of explaining the situation and why Alex thought it was necessary for Mac.

Overall, I didn't get what I thought I signed up for, but got a deeper story that I really liked.

I'm struggling to put into words my thoughts and feelings about this book, and at this time I'm not sure I'm able to express them fully. This book was not an easy read for me and I'm not exactly sure why. I end up loving the story, but there were one or two situations involving the hero an heroine, Alex and MacKenzie, that made me uncomfortable. I struggled with the way Alex handled those situations. I understand why he did what he did, and regardless if it helped MacKenzie, I still didn't appreciate his form of manipulation.

I experienced an array of emotion while reading this book. But ultimately MacKenzie and Alex's steamy love story took my breath way. I rooted for them, my heart broken for them, and I was overjoyed with their happy ending. And isn't that what romance is all about?

One things for sure, The Dom's Dungeon is the type of story that will stay with me for some time. If that doesn't deserve 5 stars, I don't know what does.

I've always said that I'm not a big fan of BDSM books, but I might have to change my mind after reading this book. Wow! I loved the romance between Alex and MacKensie. His dominance didn't come with pain and humiliation for the sake of it, it was coated with protection and the need to give his submissive what she needed, even though that wasn't necessarily what she wanted. He made me wish for a Dom of my own... Well, kind of. I'd take the good parts and shove the bad parts down his throat, LOL.

Note: I'm still a wuss and one particular BDSM scene between Alex and MacKensie scared me, but it didn't make me dislike this book. Kudos to Ms. Sinclair for achieving that!

Q: What is a Dom to do when he finds that MacKensie, his short-term house guests, broke into his dungeon and has now sprawled her naked body on one of his spanking benches?

A: That’s an easy one. Spank her, of course!!

The more challenging question is ‘how will MacKensie’s react to this impromptu and subsequent spanking?’ Alas I cannot tell you much without giving away some great parts of the story, but suffice it to say I was pleasantly surprised by how she reacted. This is in large part due to how Sinclair successfully crafts her stories to go beyond hot and steamy sex scenes or mainstream views/misconceptions about BDSM. The Dom’s Dungeon touches upon the emotional elements of D/s dynamics and how physical actions play into the experience.

This is only my second read from Sinclair, but I continue to be impressed by how she truly integrates romantic elements into the story. I think the romance, coupled with very likable characters may make BDSM palatable, if not downright appealing, to cautious readers or even those who avoid the genre. Whether you are a connoisseur of this category or simply curious, add The Dom’s Dungeon to your shelf!

On a side note, kudos, snaps, claps and all that jazz to Cherise Sinclair. About half way through the book, I was uneasy about a scene and had a few questions, so I emailed her. Within days she wrote back with a thorough response that not only put me at ease, but made me think about a few other topics. I always appreciate when authors are willing to engage with readers and personally write back to fan mail. Cherise, Thank you!!

This author is hit or miss for me in that I've liked some of her books (I Will Not Beg) and not others (Club Shadowlands). This installment belongs in the latter category.

In textbook Bluebeard-fashion, a young woman (MacKensie) enters a locked room without permission. Instead of dead bodies, she finds...BDSM toys. When the "master" (Alex) of the "castle" returns, he blackmails makes a deal with her: become his submissive and he'll allow her to stay in his house while she's looking for a job. The rest of the book details their growing BDSM/Romantic relationship, which, like most relationships in these generic books, is challenged by the past/other people/miscommunication (usually it's one of the three; here, it's all of them).

As with most of Ms. Sinclair's books, this is decently written and edited, with just enough detail to set the scene and not too much to overwhelm us. As an animal lover, I had a soft spot for veterinarian MacKensie, though I do wish she hadn't let Alex walk all over her (she never actually refuses him anything) and that the author hadn't turned her into a female version of Job: the sheer number of things that had happened to her in her short life turned a lot of this book into melodrama.

Alex is less likeable. Quite frankly, he's an arrogant, entitled millionaire a*hole who takes advantage of a vulnerable, impoverished woman. Leaving aside the fact that an experienced Dom (as Alex claims to be) would never hit a sub he doesn't know without consent (Ms. Sinclair tries to make this palatable with extenuating circumstances, but, given that Mac didn't steal or hurt anything, they didn't convince me), he then turns BDSM into a quid pro quo (“If you leave, I'll report this through legal routes. If you stay, perhaps we can discuss alternatives"). Thus, at no time did this include consent. In fact, at no time in this book does he explicitly ask her if she's willing to do anything they try. I'll also add that he keeps talking about earning her trust, but it pretty much stays at the level of talk since he never listens to her, arm twists her into everything, and takes a sub he barely knows from 0 to 60 in a day without even thinking about what the emotional or mental consequences might be for her.

There are other abhorrent things about this book, including the fact that these fine, upstanding doms, supposedly members of a well-regarded kink club, seriously consider raping a sub as punishment. And they later touch Mac, without first getting her permission to do so.

I will say that the ending is not as bad as I expected it to be. While I agree with other reviewers that Alex could have put things better, he does, at least, say this: "."

1 star and a warning that this is NOT the right way to do BDSM, folks. In fact, I agree with the other one-star reviews: this is one of the worse depictions of it I've ever read.

ETA: The blurb calls Mac a "teenage whore." No -- she's an "abused child." There, fixed it for you.

Housing exchange, girl breaks the (legal) rules and agrees to act as guy's girlfriend in Dom/sub relationship to make up for it.

Whatever enjoyment I had with this book went out the window around 25%, when the "no sex" rule got violated pretty much immediately after setting it up. Maybe it could have been "no penetration" instead, but apparently the characters completely forgot about it later anyway. To me, the sex wasn't fully consensual and the way MacKensie was forced to it was just bad. There's even a scene where she's humiliated and beaten into submission and realization that she likes it. I just can not cringe given her backstory.
Also, Alex is quite dumb for someone so obviously perfect.

I persevered till the end - otherwise I would have missed calling MacKensie's big trauma from the past, namely , "teenage fiasco". After which other characters gratuitously forgive her and she's allowed to walk the Earth as their equal.

The book was bad enough without trivializing her problems to that extent. The way her past was just brushed out of the way? One star from me. The story killed it for me - a pity, since the writing was much better than I expected.

Upfront warning: this is a BDSM novel. I don’t read many of them since a lot of BDSM novels frequently go way outside my comfort zone. This one was recommended by several different sources so I gave it a shot and I’m pleased I did. Unlike many in this genre, it’s not about the act, it’s about the romance. It’s a very good read.

Mostly this is a relationship novel. The heroine, MacKensie, is trying to escape a past she has been unable to move on from. The hero, Alex, is both kind and caring but definitely jaded by the subs pursuing him. [He's filthy rich, good looking, and an expert Dom - what does he expect?]

The heroine has participated in a ‘house exchange’ program so she can get to Seattle and interview for jobs as a veterinarian. She is planning a total change of scene to avoid a murky past. She is stunned when she finds her exchange ‘house’ is really a mansion. It’s luxurious, beautiful, and the dog is charming – but there’s this locked room…

The hero is supposed to be headed to the heroine’s small Iowa house to attend a convention and tour various family holdings in the area. Problems at the airport make that impossible so he returns to his home figuring he could work out some arrangement with his houseguest.

Locked rooms really bother MacKensie. Years in foster care gave her the skills to open most of them. She is extremely surprised to find the locked door hides a private ‘dungeon’ obviously intended for BDSM play. Surprised but intrigued…

Finding his young and pretty houseguest has violated the house exchange contract and unlocked the door and is now trying out the various equipment [naked!] is a shock; one Alex deals with in his best Dom manner by spanking her and making her apologize. But when the adrenaline spike and low blood sugar combine to make her woozy he gathers her into his lap, wraps her in a blanket and holds her until she stabilizes.

She’s desperate, has no money to stay in a motel, and has given out his address and phone as contact information to potential employers. He has a female ‘stalker’ who he thinks would be put off if he started showing up with a new sub. He offers her a deal – she can stay but will appear in public a few times [the club, parties with like-minded friends] with him and give the appearance of being his newest sub – no abuse, no sex, no humiliation. In return he doesn’t throw her out, report her to the house exchange people, or destroy her reputation.

The remainder of the story deals with the development of their bond. Mac has serious issues and Alex works hard at giving her what she needs. It’s about caring and showing love, with an alternative twist admittedly, not about the mechanics of the BDSM relationship. Of course her past comes back to haunt her in a very real and very public way but with Alex’s help she finally manages to overcome it and put it firmly behind her where it belongs.

One of the author’s true skills is she gives each of her characters a strong and identifiable voice. After the initial plot device [hero walking in on naked heroine bent over spanking bench] I felt the behaviors of all the characters were consistent and believable. They are people you would want to know.
This is a stand alone novel but she has two series as well as another stand alone novel – all of which I promptly went out and bought after reading this one.

2.5 "Frak, she was annoying" stars!

In my years of reading, I've found that a great hero can make a book as much as an annoying heroine can break a book. In the case of a The Dom's Dungeon, both occurred so I shall rate it somewhat neutral.

MacKensie is a veterinarian. We get little character development in her career other than that's what she does. She does a "Exchanges for Vacations" house swap with Alex Fontaine for a few weeks so she can interview for a new job in the Seattle area. Alex has a convention to attend in her home town. Except the house swap doesn't happen when Alex misses his flight to Iowa while fending off a purse thief and getting stabbed. (Insert eye roll). Oh, it wasn't HIS purse though. (snort snort) But naturally, there isn't another flight for two days...really? Redirected flight, maybe?

Anywho...he goes home to find a curious Mac has picked the lock to his dungeon and is naked and straddled to his spanking bench... Ahem. The reason she picks locks as a compulsion is another WTF-ness to me in the plot.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

So, perfect strangers, him finding a nude chick in his house broken into a locked room, the thought crosses his mind to just start spanking her in punishment. (My eyes are getting tired by now with eye rolls)

So, what made this book even finishable to me? Alex. If I was a submissive, and I am not, he is perfection. He's nurturing and caring and knew exactly what Mac needed along their "relationship road." He's rich, dominant, yet sweet and endearing. He made the book.

Mac? Let me count the ways she annoyed me. First of all, I need strong heroines. I get when people have a past that is scarring but she was so so immature. For instance, a grown woman who is obviously very intelligent and professional being a veterinarian, using the word frak in everything you'd use the word fuck. It was endearing the first time, however, it's in the book 33 fraking times! I was grinding my teeth the whole time I saw it. There's endearing and then there's annoying. This quickly went that direction.

I also have a rough time with the whole, "We just met, I've never been into the whole BDSM scene in the past but hey, you're a stranger and let's strip me naked, tie me down and spank me..."

A good BDSM novel I find very hot but I guess the storyline along with an immature heroine just doused those flames for me. Bummer.

And I thank you,

Ouch...

No podía creerlo.

Altamente no recomendado.

Okay, this one get's 5 stars!!! By far the best book Cherise Sinclair I have read yet. Her mc's were both wonderful! I loved Mackensie and Alex. Mackensie had a traumatizing past. She grew up in foster care and had some issues as a teen. A twist of fate brought her to Alex's house in Seattle, many miles away from her home state of Iowa and away from her past. Alex is great. He knows just what Mac needs. Eventually a ghost from her past comes into play, but instead of reacting how everyone else in her past has, Alex accepts her and doesn't judge her. He just loves her. On top of all that there were some pretty steamy scenes. I absolutely loved the way the book ends! Great read!

With this cover, you would think this is a hardcore BDSM book but it is not. In fact, the BDSM is pretty light, as the female lead has to be slowly introduced into the world of BDSM due to a tramatic past.

The story is sugary sweet, down to the very cute mutt named Butler. Again, not what you imagine with this cover.

I liked the story. I liked the sex scenes. I think the BDSM elements are pretty tame compared to other authors but that is not a bad thing.

Overall, a nice read!

3 ½ stars. Pretty good story to go with the Dom/sub theme. But could have been hotter.

STORY BRIEF:
MacKensie (Mac) was in foster care and then forced into prostitution at age 15. After a year she was taken in by a compassionate couple who helped her become a vet. Too many people in her Iowa home town knew about her past and made things difficult. She wants to find a new job and move to Seattle. An internet service matches people wanting to share their homes instead of staying at hotels. She has the use of Alex’s home in Seattle. Alex plans to attend a convention in Iowa and stay in her house. He chose Mac because she was a vet and likely to get along well with his dog.

When touring Alex’s home, Mac discovers a locked room. She picks the lock and finds the dungeon – full of whips and other BDSM devices. Out of curiosity she lays on the spanking bench. Oh, and she happens to be naked.

A situation developed at the airport and Alex cancelled his trip. He unexpectedly returns home, sees the dungeon door open, walks in, and sees Mac on the spanking bench. He is not happy that she picked the lock. He holds her head down as he gives her five swats as punishment. She is shocked and humiliated.

They come to an arrangement. He wants to get rid of an ex-girlfriend who won’t leave him alone. He asks Mac to pretend to be his new girlfriend to do this. She would attend a couple of events with him, dressing and acting like his submissive. In return she may stay in his home during her job search.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
As a foster child Mac was never spanked but locked in a closet for punishment. She believed that spanking was a sign of love and done by parents to their biological children. Alex discovers this and creates situations that push Mac to disobey him in order to spank her. One of these was very unsettling for me. Alex asks her to serve food to other Doms (guests) at a party. The first Dom unlaces her top to show her breasts. The second Dom actually takes her top off. Alex doesn’t lift a finger. Personally I was embarrassed and humiliated for her. Normally I can read this stuff as an outsider and not mind it too much. So why did this scene bother me? I don’t know, but it still does. Anyway there were a lot of other scenes with bondage, sex toys, spanking, mild pain, and a lot of sexual arousal. (I could handle those better.) There is also rear door toy activity. Alex pleasures her a lot (always with her restrained or tied up). He’s very protective and caring toward her, which helps with her negative issues from the past. There are some other story conflicts that are good. On balance it’s above average for an erotic Dom/sub story.

The ending was well done and very satisfying. It was a good resolution to a major problem for her.

I’ve read some books where the sex scenes left me hot and breathless. This book didn’t do that. There was some hotness but not as much. I’m not sure why. Maybe it had to do with lack of emotional and sexual desire by both of them. She didn’t want sex but he would do things to turn her on and then she would want it. We were never in his head to see if he desired her. We didn’t see any emotional “I’m so turned on I’ve got to have you.” Something like this might have added to the hotness.

DATA:
Story length: 255 pages. Swearing language: mild. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: 7. Estimated number of sex scene pages: 42. Setting: current day Seattle, Washington. Copyright: 2010. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

Absolutely delicious & delightful!!! Just finished the book & for the first time couldn't wait to wright review!!!
Compelling story with just the right mixture of BDSM with the most erotic sex scenes! This book really had me sucked in from the first couple of pages. I almost felt as if I knew the characters feeling such compassion & excitement for both of them!!! I found myself laughing, on brink of tears & extremely excited (in a hot & sexual way)!!! Most of all I just didn't want to stop turning pages.
MacKenzie is extremely insecure due to her sorted past from such an early & confusing age. She has a heart of gold & is afraid to let anyone in. Her past has left her without trust in anyone, especially men.
Alex is prominent in society & extremely secure in who he is. He holds on to his heart keeping relationships to a minimum for fear of women wanting his material qualities rather than actual love for who he is on the inside.
Put the two together & you find extreme combustion!!! Neither party is looking or expecting to find love much less the immense chemistry between them. Alex is an experienced Dom who shows Mac the sub that has been hiding under the surface, but it isn't easy & takes much patience.
I would definitely recommend this read!!! I know that not all Ds are hardcore, but this man holds such a big heart & shows how Doms can be very loving, selfless, with just the right amount of control!!!!

This is one of the author's older books, and it shows. Well for me anyway. I have a love/hate relationship with her books. I tend to struggle with the FMC's in her books. I think it stems from the lack of communication and the fact that each and every one of them seem to follow the same path.

Mac has a rough past. She's worked hard to get away from that past. But she's never dealt with it. Meet Alex...I can sense the attraction between the two on the pages. But what I didn't see coming was the ending and how those feelings were expressed. That seemed to come out of nowhere for me, and I'm not sure I bought into it.

I'm glad Mac got the chance to somewhat express her feelings and then to see what it felt like to have others defend and support her, but by this point in the book, I was just feeling blah about it all.

The Dom's Dungeon was good, not one of my favs, but I would recommend if you enjoy BDSM with a HEA. I found Mac's character a little annoying. She's w/the owner of a BDSM club, Alex, & she's afraid to tell him about her past? Uh, he's kinda seen or heard it all! HELLO! He's a BDSM club owner! But if you ignore that part of the story, it's really hot! Alex & Mac's story is a lot like Pretty Woman only with a LOT of kinky sex. He's a rich man, she's a former hooker (who by the way was able to go to vet school...yeah, kinda unbelievable), they meet, and he 'awakens' her to the pleasure of BDSM. Again, if you get past the story, the sex is hot....This is kinda a fairy tale of kink. I did enjoy a lot of the scenes and added a few of my favs below.

Fav quotes/scenes:

"A Dom had a duty to give a submissive what she needed, not always what she wanted, and to administer punishment as required."

"Everyone had hidden places and dark secrets"

"As your Dom, I give you what you need, not necessarily what you want."

"I'm not a whore, just someone doing kinky things."

"I'm going to restrain you, little cat, because your mind, for whatever reason, thinks you shouldn't do this and tells you to stop. But I'm not going to stop, and there will be nothing you can do..."

"A few whips, a chain or two. A house party tends to be more casual than the club, although we'll undoubtedly indulge in some evil play with our subs."

"It's not easy to submit, even if it's what you want to do. Giving up control takes as much internal strength as taking control. Maybe more."

"...sometimes the path to healing came through pain."

"This one, here in his arms--she was a keeper."

"Would she ever get used to him? He never asked, What have you done for me? It was always, What can I do for you?"

"My sub doesn't cry alone, she cries in my arms."

"Frak, he could read a newspaper to her and she'd get hot."

"You're tight and hot and wet, little cat, and I've been waiting a long time to take you like this. I'm going to take you hard now...and there's nothing you can do."

This book flowed a bit slower than the other books by C. Sinclair. but it was good, Mackenzie a vet is moving to a new town to get away from her past and every body knowing her past. She looks for a new start and partakes in a house switch for vacation or in her end looking for a job.

The man who exchanges homes with her is rich , very rich, but while in the airport he attempt and suceeds saving a elderly woman who has been robbed of her purse and he gets stabbed in the shoulder, so now he has missed a convention and returns home to find Mac in his basement or what he calles his dungeon, She is caught in a room he had padlocked from her. When he finds her in it he gives her five swats on the butt and she passes out 'she was over depleted to begin with...

He has a situation of his own a woman he once dated will not leave him alone for any reason he tells mackenzie I will not report you to the home switch agency or press charges of you stay and pose as my girlfriend 'SUB' to fend of this unwanted woman, Well less turns in to more... for both of them.

Good book, I liked the shadowlands more but this was good.

READ IT FOR YOURSELF. I don't like giving up plots... because her back history comes back to haunt her in a real bad way.. As a animal vet she stands to loose all again so read it and see what happends.

Cherise Sinclair is one of those writers who can make you wish to believe there is a loving dom out there for all us girls who would love to be a sub for the right guy!! She writes very erotic storylines and adds passion, love and leaves you wanting to say MINE about the right Dom.. if it were only so easy.. Well Cherise I guess you need to start writing faster because I have read almost every book, 'except 2' that you have written and I need more.. more of that thick, long dom.

God, that was an annoying read.

Honestly, if I read another "I healed my psychologically broken girl through a spanking"-book in this lifetime it will be too soon. I'm so tired of BDSM being a cure for trauma in books. I feel like that storyline has been done to death and this book had the unfortunate timing of coming my way at this point in my reading journey.

MacKensie annoyed me. She was supposed to be 28 and a doctor of veterinary medicine, but she acted like a child. She was very immature (her constant use of frak instead of any other curse word was downright juvenile) and a one-dimensional character. I never got a sense of knowing her and I didn't see her appeal for Alex, other than damsel-in-distress-syndrome.

Alex was a nice character, that "Dom with a heart of gold" with charm and sex appeal, but I even felt blah about him. Also, he kept setting these rules with MacKensie and then breaking or changing them almost immediately.

I should probably give this book one star but I'm feeling generous today and the writing isn't bad, just not what I want in a BDSM book at this point in my life.

So I normally love BDSM erotica, but this took it over the line into abuse/rape. She is blackmailed into being his submissive, which means that she doesn't feel like she can use her safe word. She has experienced serious trauma, including abuse, and forced prostitution, and yet his "helping her" included allowing his friends to rip off her clothes... she flees, only returning because of the blackmail, and he punishes her. He pinned her down and spanked her when he found her in his house, before knowing her! THAT'S SEXUAL ASSAULT!!!! Books like these promote rape culture and completely misrepresent BDSM.

I loved The Dom's Dungeon. If you loved Fifty Shades and Bared to You but felt that you wanted a little more BDSM, this is the story for you. Millionaire alpha male Dom meets pretty, smart sub with a past.

I am a huge Cherise Sinclair fan and have devoured all of her books over the past 2 weeks. The Dom's Dungeon is in my Top 10 BDSM favorites along with a few of her other books. LOVED IT!

I was troubled by a lot of things in this book. The hero kept talking about safe practices and safe words but he didn't actually really practice what he preached.

And the ending made me want to torch everything around me. 15-yr-olds beaten and forced into prostitution are not "teens who made bad choices." They're fucking rape victims. It's NOT complicated. Arrrrgh.

Now this is my kind of reading! THE DOM'S DUNGEON combines the sweet side of BDSM with romance and tortured souls... What's not to love about that? I have a sweet spot for any story where the damaged and innocent heroine prevails.

Being mentally battered and forced into prostitution, as a teenager would be enough to make anyone have regrets and fear the day her secret is exposed. Adult Mac is practically a virgin, but when someone uncovers her secret in her small town, she uproots her life in search of a new place to practice veterinary medicine.

Mac swaps houses with a stranger while interviewing for jobs and she ends up with a whole lot more than she bargained for... Who knew that nosing around behind locked doors would be so satisfying? I might just have to try that some time!

Uber Dominant, Alex, is experienced in reading potential submissives and his read on Mac is dead on with pinpoint accuracy. Alex knows what she needs. Like any experienced Dom, he knows how to punish, but is equally skilled at rewarding.

Witnessing the relationship between Mac and Alex unfold was sweet and delicious. And to see Mac flourish under Alex's practiced hand, well, that was just all kinds of satisfying. Cherise Sinclair is truly a master of "sugar kink," combining romance with dominance and submission AND a great storyline... Well, that's most definitely a talent and she has it in spades. THE DOM'S DUNGEON is a stand-alone novel and a great read that is sure to suck you in from the very first page.

I have to get this off my chest. Honestly why would you want to subject yourself to the shite that these Doms and Subs do? Really? Kneel on the floor while Master takes a seat? Dont talk unless spoken to and punishment. Im ALL for erotic novels, you name it, Ill read it but these BDSM ::shakes head: just get me all riled up!

So okay if thats what tickles your fancy - sweet! Go for it! but not me.

Now I have said that. The book was a good, quick read. Not quite believable. How desperate doES someone have to become to agree to be someone's submissive to get a job. Pretty desperate in this case.

Reread and probably not for the last time!

Cherise’s stories have it all: great plot, lovely (main) characters (and interesting side characters), well described BDSM and always a sizzling hot connection and great sex.

Dom’s Dungeon has my favorite blend of inexperienced, strong and stubborn sub who finds a patient, experienced and unwavering Dom. Another great thing about Ms. Sinclair’s books is how she blends real life themes and issues- in this case how unforgiving society is towards childhood mistakes as well as some of the troubles connected to the foster care system.

Last but not least, her books are always well written and edited.

The latest in violence against woman:

The "Dom" blackmails his "sub" for opening a locked door in his house, then takes her to a sex club where she is almost raped - all in the first 30 pages of this "story". God only knows what will happen next to this poor (incredibly emotionally damaged) girl

Thankfully, I'll never find out and hopefully you won't have to either

4 Victoria-stars!!

"It will be my pleasure to teach you," Victoria said. "And as for thanking me? Since you already have a Butler and now a Chef, I believe it's time to start on grandbabies. Brown eyes or blue, dark hair or light-I'm quite flexible."

... Victoria's smile warmed for a second before she frowned at her son. "Human grandbabies, Alex. Human."

This book was such a nice surprise! Because I went blind into this! And for those of you who has read the creation of Ms. Cherice, I believe you already aware of how she can "burrrn" your panties?. Ammirite??!

As for Victoria, she was such a stick-in-her-butt kind of woman at first. But then she charmed the hell out of me!!

What's on my mind after reading this book: WHERE CAN I ORDER ALEX FONTAINE'S CLONING, PLEASE?!! Because the man charm the hell out of your panties!! Oopsiee~

Alex: Rich business man. Hot as hell Dom (obviously). Super understanding. So caring! Also has a good sense of joke! Oh, the list is endless. Aren't I sounds so exaggerating? Hmm..

I enjoyed this book so much. Less drama. Super HOT. No annoying character. Sooo I believe those who enjoys BDSM genre. This book is a must pick! It's a light BDSM(the most physical blow was only I-spank-you-till-you-wet, little sub.). Kinky as fuck. Yeah that, this one was super dirty read..
