“Make way! Make way!” Everyone scrambled to get out of the road, but Deborah found herself being jostled into the street. Losing her footing in the slippery mud, she went down. Galloping hooves grew louder. Suddenly, strong arms wrapped around her. With her heart pounding, those hands lifted her up and swung her body clear of the horse and rider. Deborah looked up to see who had rescued her. It was none other than the Rabbi.
“It’s all right. You’re safe,” He said quietly . . .
Deborah’s story takes place during the time of Jesus’ ministry on earth. Scripture tells us that many women followed Him to care for His needs. This is a fictional story of an entire family who accompanies Jesus in His travels with the sole purpose of serving Him. But Deborah has a special relationship with Him. Even throughout His death and resurrection, she is determined to always live for her Savior.
