An illustrated bedtime book depicts the unique rituals of a variety of animals as they settle down to sleep each night, captured in gentle, rhythmic verse and endearing full-color pictures.
Hazen (1998) tells a story about where animals of all kind sleep. At the end it tells that we get to sleep in nice warm comfortable beds. I would use this in my classroom. It would help me teach that animals of different kinds sleep differently. Some don’t sleep outside in the weather. They go into the barn and sleep, but at night time we get to sleep in our beds.
This title mislead me because I expected a book about bears and/or other animals who hibernate, but it shows unrelated animals, some forest and some domestic, and even a child sleeping.
First, when i say this is four stars, it's a four star kids book. My niece and nephew have this, and they love it. Its a great nighttime, before-bed, reading book.
