Okay, so.. I’ll be completely honest and say I originally wanted to give this book 4 stars, but.. it deserves 5 stars despite the few flaws I’m gonna point out.

Let’s start off with the positive.
The plot was done very well— when finding out that this book would be about Sloane, I already figured this book had ‘revenge plot’ written all over it, and I absolutely loved the plot twists.

The flaws..
The Russian was terrible.
I’m sorry but I need to be so straight forward about it because it’s a big ick of mine. 😭
As someone who speaks/understands the language, it was terrible 80% of the time, but because I speak and understand the language I was able to translate what the author was trying to express- I’m glad the translations was added, this probably also doesn’t matter to readers who don’t know or speak the language so.. oh well.

I feel like the literacy could’ve been better but in sure with time and more books written by the author- it’ll progress!

With that being said- me having complaints and still giving this book five stars says a lot.
The plot line was super enjoyable!
Oh, I also loved the banter between Mikhail and Sloane along with the friendship they both had with Max and Dimitri!

sloane and mikhail were so great together, the bantering was so cute, it had me giggling and kicking my feet

too many smut scenes for me to the point where they all blurred together.

was confused by the plot, there was several intervals of info dumping and i wasn’t retaining ANYTHING but maybe that’s because i didn’t read the first book 😭

also that little plot twist/3rd act breakup?! shit came outta nowhere even i was blindsided and i’m the reader AND we got dual pov so.. i just thought that whole situation was really elaborate..

i want maxs book asap no rocky pls author 🛐

This one ? This one was better than the first book. Much better. And I'm so sad that the first book wasn't written the same way as this one.

Because in the first one, everything seemed rushed? And here, everything was okay? The characters are well written, they don't lack depth... It was really great to discover the characters and their past. I find that in this book we can more easily become attached to them.

I loved Mikhail and Sloane, I loved their relationship even if I was angry at one point. Like, she walks out, he feels betrayed and he treats her like shit, they fucked and she says sorry??

No, Sloane deserved better than that.

Because yes, Sloane is strong and doesn't hesitate to bite back. But you're going to tell me that revolt didn't cross his mind??

Then Mikhail who sometimes behaves like an asshole to whom we owe everything. It was a little too much.

Besides that it was cute to see him fall in love and realize that he couldn't live without Sloane anymore.

The story itself is pretty cool, I wasn't expecting the plot twist at all and even less the ending???

I can't wait to read the third volume.

I read Spades prior to reading Clubs and it did help to get more insight on the story and introduce me to the characters and the universe. I thoroughly enjoyed the way that Clubs had been written. Kyra did an amazing job at providing us with Mikhail’s past and giving us an understanding on how it impacted him in the present. I also loved Sloane, she was the exact character that I picture being able to handle Mikhail and put him in his place. They complimented each other perfectly in their love/hate dynamic. I also was not expecting the plot twist in this novel but I will say that Kyra executed it well. Overall, it was an entertaining read and I cannot wait for the next novels in this series to be released.

she had me screaming when she sent me snippets at a family dinner , girl. i was literally dying and needing the book already.

anyways , i truly enjoyed every moment of clubs tbh. the way it's just filled w murder , and lots and lots of tension. oh and some characters *cough cough* max , i love them fr. AND THAT PLOT TWIST, KYRA YOU'RE A GENIUS FR.

just saying Mikhail could have me on my knees any time of the day FORREAL. that man , god he's so hot. literally sin incarnate. his sayings in Russian >>>> what if i melted into a puddle. like genuinely dead.

miss Sloane also did not come to play fr. she was full of sass and ready to literally slice his neck wide open at anytime for free. that's my girl. she wanted her independence and wanted to know sh!t as she was literally sheltered her whole life.

Been sitting on this one thinking what to rate it. I understand this is the authors first series and some things might not be as fine tuned. I am no super awesome writer as well so I get it. There was something about this book that just felt very very choppy. Things would happen and then it would be like a sudden cut to something else that didn’t make any sense. I think the fluidity of the book could have been a lot better

I will say the plot twist did surprise me, I was impressed with that. But the writing was not bad it just felt super naive and I felt like both characters voices were the same.

Again just stating my opinions so don’t come all at me but I did finish the book. This world of the ‘Suits’ is very interesting. I’m ready to read the next book to see how the story progresses!

I really enjoyed this book and the characters, BUT because of a TikTok comment I read this as a standalone and that was a mistake… I definitely missed important facts from the first book, so now I’ll have to read that one! Will probably edit my rating when I know the full story

Other than that I really liked the dynamic between the MMC and FMC! And the plot was really intriguing. I will definitely read the third book to know what happens next and to see if any of my unanswered questions are answered!

This had -has- SO much potential but... Okay, the plot's interesting, but the way its all written is SO confusing—even though I haven't read the first one, this can be read as a stand-alone, YET somehow it just doesn't work. I liked the romance but it made no sense. I love an on-and-off banter but this one specifically didn't add up sometimes. They would be all over each other one second and then...nothing. There was a scene where the main girl's pissed at the guy (fists banging on his chest and everything) and then he says something dumb and all of a sudden she switches. Girl. I think that's what I really didn't like—the sudden switches that make my mood swings seem like nothing in comparison -gave me whiplash. BUT regardless, it was a fast read and I liked the characters so it was worth the time (and I kind of want to read the 3rd book now) but yeah the outline and the way everything connects, in a syntactic way, needs MAJOR work. I needed more context and more thoughts on the characters especially considering it was alternating point-of-views written in first-person. The depth of the characters could've been WAY better than it was. Like I said, POTENTIAL. Rating: 2.5/5

Listen, I have read better Wattpad fanfictions than this book.

Imagine this:
We all create scenarios in our heads that are probably not gonna happen right? So imagine that you’ve thought about 10 to 20 different romance scenarios with absolutely no connection between one another and no plot whatsoever. Now imagine you put them down on paper and published them. Yep, exactly what this book is.

There was a specific scene (my favorite out of the portion of the book that I’ve read) where the FMC went to have breakfast with the MMC.

I get up and pull a chair out for her. She looks up at me and smiles softly. “Thank you,” she says.
I reach for my knife and grab a chunk of her hair, cutting it right off.
“No, thank you,” I say
“And what was the purpose of that?” she asks
“Just eat your fruit, Koldunya.”

You see? Even the FMC is confused about what is happening 😂

Took me awhile to finish lowkey, but i actually kinda enjoyed it. The plot was pretty good, it kept me hooked after you get into it. I will say there were a lot of unnecessary smut scenes, like 50% was the plot and the other 50% was just straight up smut. But i mean if thats your thing go for it.

I really liked this book. It had so much tension and banter in it, I was literally grinning the whole way through. I thought the situation with mikhail and giovanni being ‘civil’ together was a bit rushed and I was so confused. But overall, I really enjoyed it.
