I have read each of these books individually; however, the box set would be an excellent investment if you enjoy mystery and suspense with a touch of sadism. In the beginning, K doesn't remember her past. All she knows is that someone is paying her to investigate strange events in areas all around the area but she is not to involve the police. She experiences many strange events culminating in her search to rescue her only true friends. When she finds them, she becomes a captive, also, and then the memories begin to return. Will she ever be safe? Well written with lots of twists and turns. Jean, ARC Team

Is K Even Human?

K doesn't remember anything before she woke up in a burned building without a scratch on her. Now, she continues to get mysterious messages of where she needs to go next from a burner phone, and she has lots of questions. K doesn't know what she is, but she does know that she's not like anyone else.

This collection is the first season of the mysterious K and the investigations she tries to solve all the while not being able to solve the most obvious investigation of her own past.

A lot of action and all the stories are linked, so this is perfect for not having to wait for the next book after a cliffhanger.

Very good series!

This boxset is an absolutely fantastic read. K is a great character with depth, even though she only has an initial for a name for most of the series.
She is a strong woman on a mission to help people. Although some would call her a vigilante. She is sent on missions by a mysterious benefactor to help/save people.
But is everything all it seems? 🤔
The books are quick reads, but you'd find them difficult to put down even if they weren't.
They are full of action and mystery, there is also intrigue.
I'd definitely recommend this series as a well written mystery boxset ❤️📚

I do like how each book felt that it was truly it was its own type of episode and you can easily picture it as you read it. K is just an interesting character and the more the story went on we find out more and more about her and why she is the way she is. If you want a fun easy book set to read, I would say give it a chance for sure.

Diabolical Mayhem

Enjoyed the intrigue and the suspense in this box set. K is a fighter and upholds what is right. A man is creating grotesque dolls. A creepy town has corrupt cops who delight in subjugating women for vile purposes. A pastor makes money by bizarre means. A killer lures children through fairy tales and K finally finds her nemesis. Captivating stories which had me glued.

I really enjoyed this set. Each book has it's own story to tell and in it's entirety it is a fabulous summer read. K is being lead to a destination and conclusion that she has no idea is coming. And what a conclusion it is. Fabulous read.
I received books 1 - 6 separately for free as advanced reader copies and am voluntarily leaving my honest review of the books.

Devil's Dolls Series:
A book broken into pieces, each a cliffhanger, each quickly read since part is about six chapters. Interesting story lines with gore and action, but simplistic in nature. Entertaining no-brainer with no vulgar language and some silly dialog. K is likeable.
The Devil's Origin, prequel pt. 1 - Interesting introduction about K's start. 4*
Vengeance in Black, prequel pt. 2 - How K meets Lisa. 3*
The Devil's Dollmaker #1 - Interesting but reminds me of a Horror movie I saw in the late Sixties, but much worse. Gory but not graphic to extremes, just enough for visualization. 4*
The Silent Watcher #2 - Good vengeance, simplistic but effective. Intriguing side story fully in the works. 4*
Trail of Blood #3 - Goodness, the amount of depravity that exists in this section. 4*
The Devil's Tale #4 - Good mix of Cozy and simplistic rushing to finish this section. 3*
The Devil's Reckoning, #5 - I did not care for this installment. The fight scene, and the previous scene, and the dialog between K and her opponent was boring, unbelievable, actually silly. Will admit the secret at the end of the installment was worth reading this bit. 3*
The Devil's Blood, #6 - This segment is an improvement from Reckoning. Good action and mind games. 4*
Bad Blood, #7 - New lives. The writing style did not hold my interest. Good story line, though. 3*
Touched By Death, #8 - This is as far as I go. The average writing style, the lack of editing, and sometimes the dialogues cannot keep my interest anymore. 3*
Devil's Dolls Series end.
