The Compleat Angler

Rate this book
This early works is a comprehensive and informative look at the subject of Angling with much of the information still useful and practical today. It is thoroughly recommended for inclusion on the bookshelf of all anglers. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. We are republishing these classic works in affordable, high quality, modern editions, using the original text and artwork.

Not an easy read, as it is written in 17th c. English, but it is a beautiful account of the art of fishing. Includes interesting variations of habits among species of fish. The concluding chapter is a beautiful philosophical and religious homily.
