I worked with Tom Elliff when I was in college. I respect him tremendously. This book is heart wrenching but was helpful in working through some problems with my own parents.
Tom always talked about the red feather his family had an kept on their Christmas tree (before they lost everything in a fire in 1999). It was so fulfilling to read the story behind it.

A wonderful story about forgiveness of a mother and her family, which in turn shows the forgiveness we receive from Jesus Christ.
A short book which you could probably finish in one sitting. Lovely story, highly recommended.
