This is a book to re-read multiple times.

“It’s time in these last days to raise the standard! We have the answer for our city, our nation and the world.”

One of Pastor Parsley's earliest books. It captures his energy well.

I liked some of this book but others were iffy. It was based off of Song of Songs 6:10 "Who is this that appears like the dawn, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, majestic as as the stars in procession?" (NIV). Parsley, using the KJV version where the last part states: "terrible as an army with banners," makes the claim that this is a call for the church to raise high the standard of God in this generation and go forth marching under the banner of God. While I like some of what he says in the book, his interpritation of scripture can be iffy at times and he seems to weave scripture after scripture (taken out of context) to say what he wants to say. It is not a bad read and I got through it fairly quickly, and it does have some good "challenges" for every christian to take to heart--but if you don't have a really solid knowledge of the word you could come away believeing every word the man says as the correct interpritation of scripture. Either way the basic point of living boldly for God in today's world is a good message.

This book was written by Pastor Rod Parsley. It deals with living for God in these last days. The church doesn't need to be complacent as we wait for Christ's return but busy with the Father's business!
