I was first introduced to the live action movie . I laughed so hard. Then I started hearing a rumor. Well anime trends at this phrase, in my explorationinto anime fandoms. I looked it up and found the Tokyo tribe anime...it's not so funny any more.

Now I've found the book. There is no humor. Just setup after setup. Is this really how street life....

I thought the book was the best. It was so funny at the end. There was one homo part in it. That i did not like about it. The fat guy in it was pretty funny. He always stayed hungry. He got scared alot of the time. The little boy was a big nerd that wunted to be cool, and be in a gang.

Whilst this IS about gangs, the treatment of women is shocking. They’re either assaulted or objectified and don’t go past plot devices. Just like Dune, the main antagonist boss is the only plus sized character and the only gay character- and what do they do with this? Have him r word a random subordinate and leave him split open… page 100 burned my eyes I need bleach immediately. I’m glad this is done and will not be continuing or recommending this series.

This is a volume of manga I bought for 2€ from a local second-hand store. I started reading it, knowing nothing about this manga and while I don't completely regret picking this volume up (I mean, how often does one see walls with breasts as decoration?!), I definitely won't be continuing. The story felt pointless and boring and the art wasn't my thing. I especially didn't enjoy the way the women were drawn. The translation was also very weird and didn't really age well.

Mera has the biiggest gang in tokyo. he starts to kill the people in Kai,s gang. It has alot of cussing an censored parts. There is a realy gay part in thios story. Graphic novel with a hip-hop vibe and black and Japanese characters set in Japan. There are four gangs that rule Tokyo, the focus being on the Wu-Ronz and the Musashino Saru. Kai is part of the Musashino; his ex-best friend Mera runs with the vicious Wu-Ronz. After the slayings of two Musashino members, gang leader Tera wants the group to lay low. Kai, however, wants revenge and knows Mera was involved. Volume 1 ends with the two former friends about to face off.

This book is about gangs fighting over strength and power.I liked this book because it was funny and had shooting. I recommend this book to people who like books that are similar to anime and are really funny and have shooting.
