First knit, then felt--and let your "pursenality" pack a fashionable punch! From small, sleek handbags to roomy totes, these quick knitted and felted designs rank high on style and simplicity. You won't be able to make just one!
This was a gas to read —flip through, really—as I was a knitter for a woman who then felted the pieces I knit and sold them for a LOT of bucks. I now appreciate how sophisticated her silhouettes were compared to what's in this book. I think many of these bags could be improved by just a little bit MORE, like all the purses with fun fur just need MORE fun fur to make them more luxurious. Felting is great fun though, just sharpen up all the shapes and smooth things out so the finished pieces aren't so lumpy!
There were some interesting patterns in this book. I liked the variety of yarns they incorporated as well. There were a lot of nice looking purses, but nothing spectacularly amazing. I would still probably recommend if you were a fan of handbags.
Felting bags. If you have never done it, try it! What a gas! You will love it. Get some funky buttons, or better yet, make some out of fimo clay. Trust me, this is the book and a fun way to feed a purse "fetish".
