She was funny and relatable as a character. I liked her cheeky way of handling Xavier and that she stands her ground against him.

This book was super cute and funny.
The writing style was good like all books from Kylie Kent and I like it that all her stories are connected. All mentioned couples have their own book and this is cool.
Bentley and Nathan are great together. Nathan becomes obsessed quickly and does everything to keep Bentley in his proximity. These two have great tension and I liked their interactions. I just think their relationship could have been build a little longer because they drop the „love“-bomb really early. Sometimes it felt a little bit rushed and I can‘t comprehend we’re their feelings are coming from.
Still the plot was interesting and it is a quick read.

Wow. This book is amazing. Short but not too short, and actually it’s not a heavy romance. Which is good if you are looking for not heavy romance story from a couple that is incredibly romantic and hot! Cause i was so shocked when i read this book. Everything is so romantic, easy and not a heavy story. Even the characters is very easy to understand and read their POV…. I love this author!
The heroine is the newest employee at a Law Firm, she’s known to be very smart and have a great degree with her. She apply at a corporate law firm company in Melbourne Australia and it was very known to be famous one too. She was accepted and even her other two boss was so impressed by her. One day at her graduation ceremony, she about to do a speech then she saw her two boss was in the audience. One of the boss is the hero himself. Things went very hot and romantic from there though😏😏😏
And i love it when the hero immediately went after the heroine when he first saw her picture😏 The first time he meet her is when he goes to her graduation ceremony because he was curious about her… “We’ve hired a lot of people, Nathan. We’ve never sat through an entire graduation ceremony for them,” 🤣🤣
Then after he talk to her face to face after the ceremony, he immediately knows that he wants her…. Even though he said at first that it was just a “lust” that he needs then he will not needed her anymore, but that quickly change after he got closer to her…
AND THIS IS NOT A SLOW-BURN THO. Things got very heavy between them especially the hero when he meet the heroine for the second time at their office which aka the heroine’s first day at the office and aka the hero is one of the boss. The hero lose control with her 🤣 Which is freakin ROMANTIC if you ask me. “You’re not affected by me at all?” he asks. His fingertips caress my shoulder, moving their way up my neck. This was such a good palate cleanser, I guess, though there are too many steamy scenes here. Sometimes I don't mind them, but there's just too much smut a person can handle. 😂
Nathan (33) is Bentley's (23) boss; she's a fresh graduate and works as an associate with Nathan. I think it was insta-lust for Nathan when he and his partners interviewed Bentley for the position. Though this particular scene was only mentioned in passing, I think I can greatly deduce that she left an impression on him. Nathan even attended her graduation, which was like 2 months before her actual first day at their law firm.
I have to say that even before she started in the law firm, they're being inappropriate already. 😂 On her graduation day, Nathan approached her and made some innuendos. Mind you, she's not working for him yet at this point hahaha.
On her first day, let's just say that professionalism was thrown out the window. Nathan doesn't give a crap; he wanted Bentley, so he'll have her. Bentley was hesitant at first because this is her first job and she wanted to prove herself, but the body-betraying syndrome is way more powerful than her common sense.
Nathan was so down bad for Bentley; he really fell fast and hard for her. and he was surprised that she always refused all the things he offered her. It was confusing for him at the beginning how the other women would fall at his feet and be ecstatic with the chance of being with him, but Bentley wasn't even on the same wavelength as those women. He's a decade older than her, but sometimes his antics cracked me up, like they came from a hormonal teenager.
She was feisty but also horny. She tried to walk away from their setup but eventually fell back in again. She's smart too; she graduated at the top of her class. I understood her reason for being a lawyer, though it was kind of painful. She never gave up, and I'm proud of her for finding justice.
Like I said, this was good, though it was freaking straight-up porn. Gosh! I think they did it every chapter; they really fucked like bunnies. Also, this was a freaking cheesefest; they dropped the love bomb around 37%, and Nathan asked Bentley to move in with him around 45% of the book. I have to say he worked fast. 🤣
Overall, this is still enjoyable, with a minimal plot and some twists at the end. I'll still recommend this if readers want to pass time and read less than 300+ pages.

I am literally so in love with Bentley and Nathan, they are so adorable. Their passion was so strong from the very beginning, and once they fell in love everything somehow got even more intense.
This is the story of Nathan and Bentley. Nathan Miller is one of the top (if not the top) corporate lawyers in Melbourne and his firm is taking on a new first-year associate that since his firm agreed to hire her he can't stop thinking about. Bentley is determined to become a great corporate lawyer and if she can clear her father's name.
The two have clear chemistry and there is a conflict between being boss and associate.Bentley isn't weak-willed and she gives Nathan a run for his money and He was literally obsessed with her and was ready to risk everything to make her his. this couple had so much chemistry, banter, and honestly the whole time while i was reading i could tell that they were best friends. the comfort they found in one another, the passion they felt was just so freaking good. nathan was so intense but in all the right ways, he never once doubted his feelings for bentley and GREEN FLAG. he was cocky yet not in the way that makes you want to punch them in the face, he was confident yet had such a good heart. their whole relationship flourished throughout the book. in the beginning it was very much based on physical attraction but after they solidified their relationship, i started to see their feelings develop. it was just so fun…also again cannot wait for Lucy’s book.

The intensity of this book was phenomenal. I was in love with this couple. This was every bit an Insta-lust book and honestly, you could feel it. Nathan's dirty mouth even got me needing a cold shower, wow! Bentley was incredible, especially with what happened in her past. That girl worked hard for her achievements and Nathan was there for it all. I loved the side characters including her sister. Now that epilogue has me wanting more and I can't wait to see what happens next. This is a standalone in a series. For a better understanding, I would read the first book.

Please where do I even begin with these two? I am literally so in love with Bentley and Nathan it's INSANE!! Their passion was so strong from the beginning, and once they fell in love everything somehow got even more intense. I was drunk on their love istg
Nathan was literally obsessed with her and was ready to risk everything to make her his 😩 I love a well written possessive man because never once did I feel like he was controlling. And Bentley? Sweet baby she had a few insecurities but she worked through her shit and did her best to love him. She deserves him and more for all the crazy shit that's happened to her.
Definitely think this one will be my fave in the series but I'll wait for the last installment to come out before deciding

Nathan was literally obsessed with her and was ready to risk everything to make her his 😩 I love a well written possessive man because never once did I feel like he was controlling. And Bentley? Sweet baby she had a few insecurities but she worked through her shit and did her best to love him. She deserves him and more for all the crazy shit that's happened to her.
Definitely think this one will be my fave in the series but I'll wait for the last installment to come out before deciding

Following His Orders is the second in The Tempter Series. A workplace romance, billionaire boss, slightly forbidden romance. I've really liked both the books in this series so far, not sure I can pick a favorite between the two.
This is the story of Nathan and Bentley. Nathan Miller is one of the top (if not the top) corporate lawyers in Melbourne and his firm is taking on a new first-year associate that since his firm agreed to hire her he can't stop thinking about. Bentley is determined to become a great corporate lawyer and if she can clear her father's name.
The two have clear chemistry and there is a conflict between being boss and underling. Bentley isn't weak-willed and she gives Nathan a run for his money but someone as dominant and possessive as Nathan also isn't going to give up.
It's a great read that starts off with amazing sizzling chemistry, a chase, and then a connection that is supportive and fulfilling.
If you've read Kylie Kent's books before you'll be enjoying this series as much as me and I'm really looking forward to Alistar's book to round out the series.

While I enjoyed this book and their story overall, I felt like it was too similar to the first book in the series. And based on the next book, I have a feeling it's going to be the same. :(
The parallels between this one and the first book were just too much for me to rate it higher. It's the same age gap, office romance plotline. And even some of the steamy scenes were very much alike. So I didn't feel that there was much difference in the guys. Except for their backgrounds a little bit. Otherwise they all wanted to be told yes sir in the bedroom. And in the office.
So, if you want a duplicated story overall - age gap, billionaire lawyer, forbidden office romance they blow to smithereens, office sex, hesitance about moving in, woman recording the problem maker to save the guy, and then the ultimate happily ever after... Read these two books. Lol.
Alistair looks like his will be similar except they met at a sex club and have that extra kink together. I just wanted Lucy and Dominics story, but it looks like it doesn't come out until July. :(

Nathan and Bentley
This was a lighthearted, enjoyable read. It was very low angst and high steam. There was very little drama and some good humor. Overall it was a good book to escape reality with.
Bentley and Nathan were a great couple. I loved the way they supported each other in both their personal and professional lives. Bentley was a strong female lead who wasn’t going to just take Nathan’s orders and that’s what made their relationship so special. Nathan needed the “good girl” who had a backbone, and that’s what he got in Bentley.
I loved the office romance. Nathan and Bentley taking on cases together was so fun. I loved the way Nathan was ready to stand up for Bentley, even before their relationship started. They were the perfect power couple.
This was a great addition to the series. I liked that it was in the same time frame as Shardonnay and Xavier’s romance. It added some depth to both stories, almost like having four points of view for some scenes instead of two.

First let me say there is an over lap in the time line with Following His Rules and it was done perfectly. I would suggest you read these books in order. There are only a couple of scenes where there it's the same scene just a different POV and there's a couple scenes that expand on what we saw in Following His Rules.
Nathan is a hot shot corporate attorney and he has a thing for his newly graduated first year associate. Bentley is determined to clear her father's name and see his ex business partner in jail. Nathan comes under fire from one of his clients when her stand up for Bentley and takes her side telling the client that they could leave.
I loved this book! The characters and plot have depth to them. I wish there was a little more character growth, but overall it was great. The spicy scenes are HOT! 🔥 🥵 Lots of dirty talk and details in the scenes. If you are not one for a lot of detail then this book might not be for you.

Oh my gosh Nathan's allergy, his friends are kind of jerks for it but man Bentleys reaction! Damn that breakfast scene was hot! I love Nathan's response to Bentleys mom! I also really love how protective he is of Bentley. Oh my gosh! The house, how sweet! Oh my gosh! I absolutely love the When Worlds Collide chapter!

I completely love love love Kylie Kent’s books! This book felt a little more rushed which is why I gave it 3 1/2 stars. However it still brought all the spice that most of her books bring. Bentley has just graduated from law school and is on a path of bringing down her dads ex business partner. She then falls for her boss- Nathan. These 2 have off the charts chemistry, and their banter towards eachother was hilarious. I would have loved a little more on the lawsuit with her dads ex business partner, felt like that whole scenario was amped up so much and then fizzled out. The writing was perfect and made me want more, was also very fast paced

3.5⭐️ The FMC was a great addition to this world and story line. I loved her sass and intelligence and her backstory was a really interesting element into how she fits in with the legal world.
I’m glad this is fiction as the professionalism of this world is disturbing at times, like there are no boundaries in this workplace haha! It’s a forbidden and a steamy workplace rendezvous.
I love the world crossover at the end. I’m really excited to read the next book in the series, but also to see how some of the side characters get their HEA. Good book!

I liked the book.

Their sexual relationship starts the first day she starts work for the firm when he follows her into a bathroom and finger bangs her.
The relationship felt like it started really fast.
Throughout the book their relationship does grow but most of it is about the sex and that is what they seem to fall in love with each other. There is some history they talk about but not a lot is in the book.

Bentley and Nathan definitely break all the workplace rules but it doesn’t matter when they’re so compatible - and not just sexually. Ooh the sexual tension from their first interaction just leapt off the pages and you become enthralled with their insane chemistry.

Kylie Kent did it again! Her books are so addicting and will get you hooked.
Nathan and Bentley have a ton of chemistry and are so cute together. They end up having to overcome a few hurdles but the love and support for each other is AMAZING. I just wish it would have shown a little glimpse of their future at the end of the book.

Nathan and Bentley we a bit too smooth sailing for me. There was really no drama for them aside from a couple of lawsuits. I was hoping to get more drama with her dad's ex partner after the way he threw her dad under the bus. Like the first book, I do wish we got to see Nathan in action in the court room and not just cut to him winning right away. I wanted more angst and just more something. That being said, lots of spicy moments.
OMG OMG! Matteo, Savannah, and Riley all make an appearance and I fangirled real hard! Loved how they tied in the two story lines.

I love how every one of Julie's Kent's book worlds seen to flow into each other wonderfully.

I generally don't mind the discrepancy in power dynamics (boss/employee) between the H/h, but for some reason, the situation in this book did not sit as well with me. I think the difference was that in other books, the force of attraction overcame the power discrepancy, but in this book, the power discrepancy was constantly emphasized to the point that it felt like the reason for the attraction between H/h. I enjoyed the relationship between the two parties a little bit less.

Page 1 and he’s already so into her before she’s even started working for him officially. So they’ve know each other, what, like an hour? From her interview. Ugh. So ridiculous that he would already be so enamored with her in no time. It just makes these fantasies turn into ridiculousness and it’s hard to get on board with them. Their first conversation was also just awkward and cringe.
