Short and Sweet
Cute characters, fierce loyalty from sisters, an overprotective, or in this case, the right kind of protective, vampire mate and a spicy love story. Only 85 pages long, but no less impactful.

This was a cute and short story. Penny ex got what he deserved. I know this was only a Novella but I wished it was more to the story, can't wait for the sister book.

Zero Stars!
This was nothing but smut. I was okay with the story until Penny and Nicholas met, then it went to the gutter from there. Such VULGAR references to sex and body parts. A story can be hot and sensual without being downright nasty. This was porn. I won't be buying anything else from this author. Using tacky, vulgar, language does not make a story well written, romantic, or interesting. It's just offensive, especially when the main character is a black woman and the author's depiction of her just perpetuates myths and stereotypes about black women. Black women deserve to be courted, romanced, and loved, but most authors of BWWM romance novels seem to think that the only thing black women want is a good screw. It's so offensive and stereotypical! Amazon, I want my money back!!!!!

Abrupt Ending, lots of Errors
This book does have potential but don’t let it build up enough before it ended abruptly. Right when you think you can give it a little more of your attention it ends.

Mature Love
Thank you for writing a great story about a mature couple that has an HEA. Most of the time when you read these novels, except for BDSM, the mature couples are almost sexless. We aged women still like to be participatory. So, thanks. Plus you made sex seem fun, and not a burden.
I almost felt so sorry for Penelope in chapter one. Then I learned of all she had going and how Chad needed to be taught a lesson and thought, “ummm”.
Enter Nicholas! and I was floored. Thank you for adjusting the vampire rules for ultra old/mature vamps. I can hardly wait for Nicholas’ friend, the Incubus and Emmy to meet and begin their forever journey.
Finally, Valentina is the best Witchy Yenta, ever. If you do decide to match these two hunks then you still have all of there friends and fiends to match.
I love Val and her Ghoulish office.
Have read Ann the Millie Taiden, etc. Paranormal Dating series and yours would make a great Dating Service for all of the mixed race, mixed fantasy genre.

Eve Vaughn is one of my all times favorite authors, but...
This didn't feel as polished as she normally writes. One of my favorite series is her Grimaldi vampire series. My other favorite book is Hostile Takeover. There are more I love, but those are a few I reread often. She's on my immediate purchase list, which is why this is a hard review for me.
The plot is great. Nicholas and Penny were adorable, but the editing issues and plot holes took away from what could have been an amazing short story. I wish I could message Ms. Vaughn and ask her to allow me to edit for her so she can keep to what is usually an amazing, polished standard. Her books don't usually have these errors. I hope everything is well with her. I gave the book 4 stars because the premise was great and the bones are there for a fantastic read. If she needs an editor I'll gladly help because she's far too talented to have this many errors, plot holes and misused words.

This was a nice short story.
I like the story but found some misspelled words that didn't take it away from the story but the author forgot that Penny was a scientist and not a real state realtor that threw me off for a minute but because the rest of the book was good I see that author stop for a moment when she wrote the book. I like the book and look forward to reading the second book. Which hope the author will proof read and check to make sure the characters stay on point and not go off script. I do wish the book was a little longer because I feel like Penney had more to say about her life but I did enjoy that barb got what she deserved for taken what wasn't her's . As always happy reading😊.

This is definitely going in my re-read list
I love reading great stories over & over, this will be one of them it had me smiling, and wanting to laugh. It was hot, sexy and made you horny as well. Reading Nicholas & Penny story I felt like cheering every time Nicholas corrected Penny on talking negative about herself. Been there done that, and so over it. I can’t wait to read Emma story, she is going to have one right.

Great book
Great book and story line. I enjoyed this book. I feel like the author did an excellent job for a short story. There were some typos but it didn’t take away from the story for me. I see potential growth for this author to be an excellent writer. I did four stars, would have liked to give four and a half but that’s not the sliding scale on here. This was straight to the point, fast paced because it’s a short story. Great love scenes, alpha male who knows what he wants. I’ll check out her sister’s story next.

He is her destiny if she can accept herself for herself & just enjoy being treasured for who she is. This was a quick read with a HEA. Love it. Can't wait for next in the series. Enjoy. 😍

A Vampire's Tasty Bite of Love
Nick spent hundreds of years waiting for his Mate. And just when he was at the bottom of the barrel of loneliness, Penny came on the scene. Their relationship was kind of shaky in the beginning. But the "Mate Factor" took care of that REAL quick. Smile.
Usually I am not a fan of Vampire Romance, but I really enjoyed this book. And I think you will too.

Better Than I Thought
I was a little surprised because I'm not really in the mood , or at least though I wasn't in the mood for a vampire love story. Yes, definitely a love story. Didn't expect any thing, but I must admit that match maker hit the target head on. Very enjoyable book. Better than I thought it would be. Thanks Eve Vaughn.

The editing was horrible. A lot of sentences are unfinished. It's as if a rough draft was submitted instead. I really don't understand when there's spell check in every type of software these days. I really don't even want to read the next one. The book itself was cute. I like how they met. That's all I got.

Penny deserved everything Nicholas has in store for her. She's a good woman who did deserve the mess her boyfriend Chad and cousin Barb did to her. Barb would have caught hands. Quick Sexy Read!
This was a quick and well written short story by Eve Vaughn! It had great characters and an entertaining storyline! Nicholas and Penelope had great chemistry and some funny moments. I can't wait to read Emmy and Padraig's story next!

4 stars because it still needs editing.
Is she a scientist or a realtor? The grammar typos are easy to gloss over and the store is solid for it to be such a short book. Really liked it!

I love a good vampire story. Nicholas and Penelope’s story was very cute. I would have loved for it to be longer, but I still enjoyed it. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quick steamy read!

this book read more like an outline for a book - it would be very good if more editing was done to smooth out the story line - also, more education on adjectives would be appropriate - absorbent expensive does NOT mean exorbitantly expensive

Sexy but short
This was so good but too short. I wanted to learn more about Nick’s backstory. However I did love the HEA and how the ex got his in the end. Nicely done, but I wanted more.

Good storyline but needs more work overall
I like that the story was to the point. But the many typos and grammatical errors was very distracting. I would recommend the author have her work proofread prior to publication.

Loved it
I really enjoyed reading this story, but i felt that the ending was rushed. I wish more detail was added when they realizes they were in love. Guess I'll have to read the rest of the series. It does need minor editing.
