A fun story with a sinister undertone. I could see a pretty good novel springing out of the ideas in this one.

80% from previous review of LibriVox Short Science Fiction Collection 011. Also in 006. I liked the idea of a cute and cuddly alien race that would use offensive powers that we would probably not take too seriously due to our lack of imagination. As a Table Tennis aficionado I’m sure I’d have been highly suspicious, as when “on form” I often hit the edge of the table or the top of the net, the topspin making it crawl over. Saying “Sorry” is correct etiquette, but you soon realise it is skill rather than luck when you meet an opponent who perhaps initially consistently does the same to you, and then just whips you without even risking hitting an edge.

Entertaining fantasy listening 🎶🔰

Another will written fantasy space Sci-Fi adventure thriller short story by Peter Baily about a spaceship exploration and the bad 👎 luck it runs into. I would recommend this novella to readers looking for a quick fantasy read. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to Alexa as I do. 🏡🔰⏰😡 2022

As he struggles to survive, he creates a recording of his experience with an alien race called the Chang, recounting how his ship and crewmembers experienced a spate of bad luck soon after encountering them.

Good fun but somewhat overwritten as were many stories written in the early days of SF.

Matt Hennessy considered himself lucky to get a spot aboard the starship Whale. When the crew encountered an alien race they weren't quite sure what to make of them. The Chingsi were quick to learn and were given to practical jokes. Things start going wrong—small things are first.

It's definitely a story different from any other I read so far. It's a short story told by one of the characters and that makes it, for me, more easy to follow.
I honestly I have mixed feelings about this book but I'm glad I read it.

This is a short fiction story about men mountain climbing. It’s OK. The writing is good, but it didn’t capture my attention.

😀Discovered on Amazon Kindle.
