If you are considering adding a water feature to your property for the first time, this is an easy and excellent read. Kathleen Fishers give a broad overview of many different types of features, giving the materials, installation requirements and upkeep requirements for each. While she includes basic DIY installation info with just a few photos, this book will not provide you with all the information you will need unless you're the kind of person to just jump into a project. The book has helped me to consider the size and style of water feature I want to install and whether or not I want to add fish. I also have a much better understanding of the maintenance that will be required. Highly recommend for folks who just thinking about adding a water feature, either as a DIY project or even if you intend to hire a contractor.
