Shelly's book is an introduction to the changes that have taken place in the World Wide Web (Web 1.0). The Web has evolved into a realm of vast growth and boundless venues of collaboration. It has sloughed its original skin and has transformed its initial appearance and purposes to the social contexts of today which is becoming known as Web 2.0.

Shelly presents the reader with the current Web 2.0 applications in a way similar to a beginning basic college course.

It is an easy and fast as well as informative read.

This book was the textbook for my Digital Portfolio Development course. The book was a little out date. I was still able to learn from it,though.
