This book second mom is an attempt to express feelings of step son and step mother. More emphasis is laid on soft part; I mean the psychology of individual persons and thereby resolving the problems with heart and not by logics. As per common notion, step mother is painted as wicked lady doing all bad work including torture to the innocent child. We have been born and brought up with many stories abusing step mother. Even Cinderella’s story is taught in our text book as a stamp to believe that step mother cannot be good and the relations of such families are never pleasant. Even Lord Rama also was also depicted as victim of step mother in Ramayana when he had to go to exile for fourteen years, where he faced lot of adversities and so on. Our scriptures also are full of such hatred against step mother and also folk stories also spread the same message.
