I SWORE I was only going to read a couple chapters today because I am edging closer to the end of the available books in the series and I am the LEAST PATIENT person on the planet!!! I HATE waiting for books to be released!
😳🫣😬
😂
BUT!!! Each book is SO GOOD, and ends in such a way THAT I CANNOT STOP! I MUST FIND OUT what happens!
🤷♀️
Good Grief!
However, I guess I should wait to start Book #29 since it's 12:30am and I have a long day again tomorrow... AND today was such a rough Monday!
But Jessie helped me relax and calm down so, ... 😉
I finally feel like maybe the plot is furthering? Jesse and her sister are going to figure out who is behind all of the recent murders. It seems like the book series spans many years, but it really does happen quickly with each book set just a week or two apart. So much happens and always 2 stories at once. I don’t know what to think of the ending on this one. I feel like this series needs to end soon, but it just keeps going. There aren’t enough reviews yet on this book to answer some of my questions.
I am starting to not like the long recaps of the series. By book 28 we do not need to go backwards with information. It can be brief but not so long. I was hoping the series would be over but it is not.
A good revenge story is always a fun trope. I love that this author finds new ways to come after our MC and it doesn’t feel over done. I usually hate series with this many books but I read a couple each month and am still entertained this far into the series.
Book 28 - Jessie Hunt is assigned to a case where several women are being killed. There seems to be no connection in the killings. Jessie realizes there are secrets about the women past that is tied to their deaths. At the same time, she is trying to stop worry about the woman who is out to get her and her loved ones.
This was another awesome book about Jessie Hunt. Besides her being put on another case that tries her skill because she still has not gotten over the time she has to spend as hostage which caused her to have a concussion that has the lingering effects of migraines, and she still is sent out into the field and has to manage how she deals with suspects. Jessie Hunt is one of my favorite psychological suspense thriller books. Get this book you won't regret it. Blake Pierce there is no one like this author if you want to read about a woman who is the herione, the lead, etc. Jessie Hunt is one of the greatest LAPD profilers.
