After trying for years to break into the world of comic book art, I decided to turn to writing and wanted to start with a series that I knew would be full of action yet at its heart had a tender love story. I often had a hard time getting into a lot of the books I picked up because of the way some authors will ramble on for pages at a time (I'm looking at you Stephen King) so I decided to write a book that would keep me interested if I picked it up to read and I hope those who read it feel the same way.
I LOVE this book!! I am fascinated by the relationship between Benny and Autumn. His willingness to do anything for her and their absolute love that not even death can part them. I enjoyed the fast pace ever increasing danger at every turn. This book has just the right doses of love to fill your heart and blood, guts and violence to turn your insides. I recommend this book to friends and enemies alike.
I didn't know about this book going in, but it's probably the best vampire book I've ever read and i love vampire books. Benny's brother Jack is hilarious and a lot of the dialog made me crack up. I liked how this wasn't just another vampire book. There was also a great love story beneath it and I can admit that my eyes were watering a little at the end. That's when you know you have a good book in my opinion. Add to this all of the action ("the graveyard and the cornfield" chapter alone was worth the price of admission) and the scares and this book becomes that rare gem that few people know about. I know the second part is coming out, I can't wait to see what happens next.
Very shallow without much character development. Has potential but the fact that people seem way too excepting of the supernatural sort of makes the story line weak.
I think I would shoot the editor. Full of tense, person and grammatical errors (to in place of too, switching person in the same paragraph). I will see what installment two is like.
This was a great book. Nice change of pace from the run of the mill vamp/love stories out there. It is a very exciting and fast paced read. I like the historical references to Vlad the Impaler. I can't wait to find out more about the Wintermen and what happens to Jack and Frank! Maybe we will see Benny and Autumn again too!
