Utterly dire.
Struggled through this. There was no point to it! The only reason I kept on reading is to find out why she ran off from her husband and that revelation came less than 100 pages from the end and was not worth the wait.
Skim read through the last 200 pages and can honestly say that I don't think I missed anything.
Ugh, just UGH.

Another beach read. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it.

I loved The Catalpa Tree. Really loved it. And I think I loved this one, too. Maybe not quite as much, as there were times when the character really annoyed me... but all the same, I liked it. A lot. And I will absolutely keep reading as long as she is writing.

Disappointed. Kept thinking the main character would get some morals or at least a sense of conscience, no such chance!

I detest reading about such self-seeking loathable characters. A bore (the book and the protagonist!)

Too long, I wanted to find out what had happened to get her into the situation she was in but it was a slog to get to the end. The travel scenes were very well written though.
