My Thoughts: I love the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. There's something about spreading good news that just warms your heart like chicken soup. The stories are from everyday folks like me and you but the message is always heartwarming. Some of the stories touched my heart more than others like Donna Teti's "Balloons of Hope", Kim Armstrong's "Baby Loren" or "A Charmed Charm Bracelet" by Marianne LaValle-Vincent.
I needed this, and here it was in perfect timing. Reading these true accounts (especially before bed) helps instill the magical miracle vibration in my subconscious. The past few days of reading I’ve been having so many healing / angel / miracle dreams that have helped soothe my soul in a hard time. My favorite stories are the angel stories — I could read them all day. After reading this book I remember: anything is possible, miracles happen every day, we are never alone - there is always a team of helpers behind the scenes.
P:S: It’s no wonder the majority of these stories take place during Christmastime. This time of year feels like there’s practically no veil at all. I feel like a combination of George Bailey and Ebenezer Scrooge at the end- filled with gratitude.
As cheesy as these books may be, they offer the most important experience we came here to have on earth- listening to each other’s stories, allowing our souls to be touched by our fellow humans’ life experiences.
The book I chose is A Book of Miracles, by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and LeAnn Thieman. The book is about 101 miracles that have happened in people's lives. It gives the story and information about the miracle that happened in the specific person's life. The book is filled with people who have something bad happen in their life, and they have opened to God and he has helped them. It gives you hope and shows you that good stuff really does happen in this world. You can find stories about someone feeling the presence of a dead relative, all the way to a cancer patient. For example, there were two cousins who were born around the same time, and one died months after birth. Even though the baby was gone, the surviving baby would still act like the other was there and would even say that he saw the baby that had died. It was a good book and it is almost inspirational to see what people have gone through, and even see that miracles can happen after something bad. I would recommend this book to almost anyone. This is a good book if you are looking into Christianity, and it is a good book if you are christian just looking into anything faith related.. Even if you're not, it is still filled with good stories that have a meaning.
huge fan of the chicken soup for the souls series especially the volumes involving angels, guardian angels. this is a fantastic book to read especially if your into the concept of angels, guardian angels. this magnificent book is filled with real people's experiences with their guardian angels. its a fascinating book to read the concept of guardian angels that can come in many forms whether be in the form of a passed loved one, to an animal or a an exceptionally beautiful being. if your into guardian angels this book is for you. I love these works and have slowly collected several of these chicken soup books and haven't been disappointed in any of them a definite must read.
Excellent reading. Some of the stories may me cry, some surprised and some make me gasp in wonderment. Each story is unique and awe inspiring. Enjoyed the entire book
I am gving it a 2 stars because of that one 6 page long story in the last section. This book felt toooooooooo long. Took forever to finish. Yah, but few other stories were good.
This collection didn't disappoint me - the stories are more unique, specific, and more varied than even those in the angel collection. One of my favorite stories is about a pastor's wife who prayed for new sneakers. That very day, a dog came into her yard carrying sneakers in her size! The sneakers were both attractive and of good quality, and they didn't belong to anyone in the neighborhood. I also like the story about a teacher who was tired of blind dates. One day, she moved next door to the son of a teacher who used to teach at her school. In fact, he had even been set up with her, but she had never followed through and gone to meet him. As soon as she met him through her new neighbor, she had a huge crush on him, ended up marrying him, and had his son.
I'm impressed with this volume because the stories are so nuanced. There are many answered prayers and everyday interventions that can only be blessings from the Lord.
If you think that miracles only take place in stories from the Bible, reading this book will change your mind. Each of these personal testimonies are short and to the point but also very moving. They are divided into categories such as "Signs from Above" or "Angels Among Us" which make it easy to pick up while drinking a cup of coffee. Very inspiring book. It makes you realize your own problems are pretty minor compared to things other people have had to deal with.
Years ago my aunt gave me a subscription to Guideposts every Christmas and I loved it! Some of the stories were way out of my comfort zone and others were incredibly encouraging. I loved it all...
The stories that stretch the limits of my credulity and perhaps even make me squirm also make me think. And the encouraging stories remind me of God's work in my life.

This was a wonderful book of 101 stories of healing, faith, divine intervention and answered prayers told by the people who experienced them. If ever you find yourself losing faith, simply open this book and you will be reminded that God is always listening and still working to provide us with miracles, all we need to do is open our eyes.
Another wonderful set of inspirational stories, some really blew me away too. The best part of this book for me was the scripture at the beginning of most of the stories. What's more inspirational than a talk with God, even if only a sentence or two? I loved this book is my final answer!
A wonderful book of 101 stories of real-life miracles, reminding us that God is still very much at work today. It'll inspire your faith and enlarge your perspectives of God's generosity and love. Highly recommended!
3* One thing I liked about this book was that the miracles happened to many different types of people. Some were wealthy; some poor. Some were full of faith, and others had more desperation than faith.
I borrowed this book from my Granny at the cabin and it was just a filler of time, but I actually enjoyed reading the little short stories. I like to mix it up once in a while :D Very Uplifting
This book is awesome, with 101 stories of God's miracles to show us that He's always with us. God really works wonders. We just have to have faith and believe in HIM! :)
This was a very inspirational book and just perfect for reading one or two stories at work during work to uplift me during a crazy day. My favorite chapters were on Angels and Everyday miracles.
