A very concise and to the point translation and commentary on the Bhagavad Gita. Swami Tapasyanand has done a great job of explaining the shlokas from the point of view of different schools of Vedanta wherever required. This gives the reader and open mind to understand the interpretation in light of several vedantic schools.

Introductory notes are provided at the beginning of each chapter. All the sanskrit shlokas, their transliteration in English and translation is present in the book. Important notes are discussed in the end of the chapter.

The author has also drawn reference from Shrimad Bhaagwat Puran to complement the points.
Overall a very good commentary to read and understand the essence of the Bhagavad Gita.

I feel blessed to have gotten this chance to read Srimad Bhagavad Gita this year. This is not just a sacred book, but the ultimate self-help book you can ever read.

Enlightened men are those who see the same (i.e. the Ātman) in a Brāhmana with learning and humility, in a cow, in an elephant, and even in a dog or in a eater of dog-meat (outcaste).
