I read this book due to the ratings as well as my friend recommending it to me. I will start by saying the book is VERY unrealistic...but then again, that's why it's fiction, right? Anyways, due to it being so unrealistic, it was kind of hard for me really feel the characters and try to relate to what they went thru. I will say one thing, this book is non-stop drama. You never know what's going to happen next. It was so much drama that I actually got bored with some parts that DIDN'T have any drama. Overall, I would recommend this book to others. I guess my expectations were so high based on the reviews and ratings that I expected more. Overall, it was a decent read and I have already started the sequel.

This is a CoolRead. The characterization is good, tho the storylines are typical but they are too interesting enough to follow the direction to see where Weaver takes each character.

" Bankroll Squad" was my first read by David Weaver. I've had this since July 1st 2011. I kept pushing it back, saying I would get to it.When I finally decided to read it, after hearing all the great reviews, I couldn't believe I hadn't read it sooner. The story grabs you from the beginning and the characters are believable. It centers around Malcolm, a sexy Ga State University graduate, who is looking for nothing more than money, power, and respect. After entering the drug game,he and his crew, The 'Bankroll Squad' are living the good life until tragedy strikes, sending everything as they know it into an uproar.

David Weaver has written a wonderful tale of drugs, sex, betrayal, and deceit that is filled with twists and turns. The story line weaves effortlessly between characters. The Malcolm/ Kyla story line left me breathless and wanting more. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys an action packed read! Can't wait to read part 2.

Another 5 star book

Bankroll Squad by author David Weaver is a great book. I couldn't put the book down. Reading this book you will be able to feel the emotions of each character. Looking forward to reading more from Mr. Weaver

The storyline was very good. Bankroll Squad consists of a crew members with college education and street smarts. They rule the streets and are well known in the streets. The women in the squad are ride or die for everything they stand for. Their leader married a white woman and jealousy comes within the crew. Along with lots of drama and excitement. This book had me consistently turning the pages waiting to see what will happen next.

I recommend this book to all readers

Wow, the publisher... wow. Maybe I should start a Rich, Smart & White publishing company? I wonder how many people that would alienate?
I may not read this. Just wanted to comment for the time being. Keep the racism going guys! Kudos!

I won't read this and I certainly won't buy it and put my money into this author and publishers hands. Apparently I'm more of a stickler for this sort of racist bullshit than some others. So be it.

This story was fresh and fast paced! This was my first book by Mr. Weaver and he did his thing in it. I was instantly attracted to Kyla's character do to the fact that she loved Malcolm and would do anything for him, even when he didn't return that love!!! Kyla is the epitome of ride and die and she went all out for her love!

I listened to this book on audible. The transitions made for a confusing listen. The narrator, while he had a great voice for narration, delivered the lines with no break to alert you that the conversation was changing direction. There was one other thing that occurred throughout the book that was obvious and that was incorrect word usage example “he tried to intermediate the dispute” instead of “ he tried to mediate the dispute”. All in all, I managed to get the gist of the story, but didn’t care what happened to the characters. I’ll be listening to book 2, because my mini book club will be talking about it. I'm hoping the story will offer a clearer picture of the characters, plot and direction of the series.

Wow! This was my first read by Author David Weaver. I loved this story! Author Weaver introduced us to the main players of the Bankroll Squad and explained how it all came about.

We met Malcolm and Kyla who have an awesome complicated love story. And just when you thought it was over, Author Weaver put an interesting twist on one of the characters who I would’ve never guessed was an informant!

Author Weaver took me down through the streets on this emotional journey. The action was so real that I thought I was a member of the Bankroll Squad. I was ducking and dodging bullets just like the characters. The character development and plot was excellent. Author Weaver showed us the inside life of a drug dealer.

I enjoyed the way Author Weaver portrayed Malcolm and although you would’ve thought he was cut throat and hard all the time, he really had a caring and sensitive side to him. He had his own issues to deal with in addition to the drugs. I can’t wait to see what happens with the characters.

I love when an author pens a novel that is so good that I purchase the sequels as well as other works by the author. I would’ve have given this novel 5 stars, but a few grammatical errors in the beginning distracted my concentration for a little bit.

I purchased this book on my Kindle through recomendations and have to say that Author David Weaver has now become my Favorite author! I could not put this book down once I started reading it! The story takes us into the world of the Bankroll Squad and the lives of those who have created this empire! We meet Malcolm the main brains of this operation and his journey through life where he encounters true love, the loss of love, betrayal, honor, life and death! Unlike many urban fiction novels, this novel David takes you into the minds of each character, from Malcolm to Kyla, Catfish, Marco, Prince Tron Pam and even into Jennifer as well as glimps into characters to come in the next installment! David's amazing ability to write and his beyond creative mind makes you feel and become each character! Each page there are twists and turns taking you down a roller coaster of a ride! I don't post spoilers but can guarantee this novel is a keeper and should be added to everyones collection! #TeamBankrollSquad

This is my first book by this author, but based on a recommendation of a book club that I am involved in I decided to take a chance. The story revolves around Malcolm a drug kingpin and his band of merry men and women. Malcolm fed up with the antics and jealousy of his girlfriend Kayla meets and married the proverbial "white chick" who at first appears to be down for her man. Kayla who is still very much in love with Malcolm makes attempts to seduce him back into his arms all the while conducting various drug dealers and over seeing a prostitution ring.
Malcolm is robbed and Kayla is seriously injured in a shooting, which leaves Malcom re-evaluating his decision to get married.
Malcolm and his band of merry men is betrayed by one of thier own and they spend a great deal of time trying to find a way out of the mess they are in. It was an ok read. The author could have made the book better by more character development which would help us to better understand why the characters do the things that they do.

I love this book! I had been seeing it for a while and put off reading it thinking it wouldn't hold my interest. I decided to purchase it to see what it was all about! I am so glad I did! I was TOTALLY wrong! I loved all the characters I was supposed to and despised all the ones I should have! It was a page turner. I bought 2 and 3 just in case it was as good as expected and I am glad it was!! 5 stars!

Good Book

Omg this book was good. This book held my attention from beginning to end. There was so much action going on in this book. The characters are so real: Malcolm, Marco, Kyla, Pam, Tron, and Catfish. I could relate to them all When tragic was hitting, I was holding my breath. I have read plenty of David Weaver presents books, but this is my first time reading a book by him. There were errors, but I overlooked them because of the book itself.
