Once a Disciple, forever a Disciple. In losing her dad, Ash learned an important being a Disciple is dangerous. She couldn't stay and wait for the club to take the man she loved, too. But when a threat to the club puts her in danger, she has no choice but to return to the world she left behind. A Disciple will fight like a savage for what is his. Sketch has what he his tattooing, the club, and his bike. Wanting more was just a pipe dream that died when Ash left. Now, she's coming home--but not by choice, and not alone. Suddenly, nothing matters except the one that got away . . . and the daughter she came back with. This biker knows one a Disciple's daughter's return is about to make his whole world shift. Contains mature themes.
Drew Elyse spends her days trying to convince the world that she is, in fact, a princess and writing tear-jerking and sexy romance novels. Her titles include the Savage Disciples MC and Sailor’s Grave series.
When she isn't writing, she can usually be found pouring over books with a pot of tea beside her, obsessively building her Disney collections, binge watching her favorite shows, or baking all manner of unhealthy things.
She lives outside her hometown of Chicago with her husband and their fur babies, Luna and Duncan.
The second book of the Disciples Daughters series has many elements which made the story very interesting and enjoyable. Shift's main characters are Ash and Sketch, i liked both a lot especially Sketch who after all this time apart from heroine when she got back he tried hard and fought to get his woman and her little girl (who from the beginning he was saying that he was his daughter) back into his life and he succeeded it. The thing is that their story was like a soap-opera the one that you can't get enough because you see they were in love with each other from young age and it's impossible to stop loving your first and only love. Also i have to mention the at first i was very angry with Ash and her stubbornness " Girl he wants to give you the world, please ease up a little" but later i saw her point by learning her devastating secret.
This book was filled with so many emotions and in addition it was combined with suspense, little action, twists and hot explicit scenes, one of the highlights of this story was definitely Emmy and her sweet, funny dialogues with each character of the book, i definitely recommend it, Shift is a standalone so you don't have to worry if about a cliffhanger from the previous book but i always read all the books even if they are standalone. Can't wait to read Jager's story, he seemed very interesting character.
They were childhood sweethearts, children of the club and planning to get married as teenagers. Then she loses her father, a club member, and blames the club. She leaves the boyfriend behind because he won't give the club up for her. Needing protection she returns to the club with a child but she won't share who the father is. I liked the intrigue of trying to figure out exactly why she didn't want a paternity test. I loved the precocious child and the author's ability to bring that cuteness over to the reader and make it genuine. I loved the fact that Gabe loved the child unconditionally. I hated that the h took so long to understand she was hurting too many people by keeping her secrets. Overall I loved the fact that I was caught up and invested in the characters and the story line as well as Gabe's dogged determination to get the h back. When they reunite they are 23/24 years old. So yes they made some bad decisions along the way but I was willing to give them a pass because of their youth. I usually don't care for the young adult romances but this one pulled me in.
I am a total sucker for second chance romances....throw in a MC and a baby and I am in heaven. Emmy may be a toddler, but close enough.
After the death of her father, Ash is in a bad place and makes a decision to leave her home and the love of her life, Gabe It doesn't take long to regret that decision, but events have happened that makes her feel she can't go home. Gabe, whose road name now Sketch is living the life of a patched member of the Savage Disciples. He has everything he ever wanted except his Firefly......but that boat sailed - or has it?
What happens when the lovers are brought together? How will Sketch react to everything Ash brings with her?
I absolutely loved this. It really gave me the feels a couple of times. Can't wait to read more.

This is the first book I have read by Drew Elyse and although it is book 2 in a series it can be read as a stand alone. I will go back and read the first one because I feel in love with the characters and the way that Drew Elyse writes a story. Personally there is just something about a MC romance that I cannot get enough of- so clearly I jumped on the chance to be able to review a MC book. This book did not disappoint!
Shift is the story of Ash ad Sketch and their journey of losing one another and ultimately finding one another again. When Ash’s father, an important member of the Disciple club, is killed it makes Ash think that this club, who is the only family she has known ,is dangerous. Wanting nothing to do with them she realizes she has no choice but to leave them and the one man she has always loved- Sketch. Sketch’s entire life has been dedicated to the club and growing up he wanted nothing more than to be a member of it. Being a member of the club that Ash wants nothing to do with put Sketch in a difficult position. He believes that her anger towards the club because of her father’s death will start to dissipate once Ash accepts her father’s death. So needless to say it comes as a complete surprise when one day Ash is gone. Three years later when a threat is made against Ash it is clear that she must return home to the family who will protect her with everything they have even after she left them. Ash realizes that returning home is not only her returning to the club for protection but also will be seeing Sketch again. Ash understands that she didn’t leave on the best of terms however needing protection for her and her little girl is the most important thing. The moment Sketch sees Ash and her little girl he knows and feels in it in his heart that his little girl and his and she and Ash belong to him. Will Sketch and Ash be able to move on from the past and the secrets they kept from one another? Or will they become victims to circumstances that they each played a part in?
I am so happy I was given the opportunity to read this book! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more books in this series by Drew. If you are in the mood for a MC romance where the bikers are hot and ladies are strong characters- this is the book for you!
What Is It About: Ash and Gabe were school sweethearts and each others' first loves. Gabe plans to join the Disciple but after losing her biker father, Ash doesn't think she could handle loving another Disciple so she leaves. Years later Ash is in danger and the club bring her back to make sure that she's safe. Gabe now goes by Sketch and tries to avoid Ash for as long as he can. It isn't until he gives in that he sees Emmy, a little girl that might be a daughter he didn't know he had.
What I Liked and Didn't: I thought that the relationship between Gabe and Ash was shown perfectly. There were the occasional flashbacks to set the stage that were adorable but the focus was more present with their hopes for their future relationship. Emmy kind of stole the show for me. She was adorable and filled with sass, Miss Elyse wrote her perfectly. Gabe/Sketch was shown to be a really great person and great father to Emmy, even with the issues of Ash's past coming up. I did read a review critiquing how Gabe slept with other women but Ash stayed celibate. I suppose when it's put like that it can come off as a bit sexist but Ash is a single mother of a 3 year old, who works none stop and has the issue with the spoiler-that-shall-not-be-ruined. So I think it's a bit justified especially considering the spoiler. She was a strong woman who fully showed the fire that I expect with a woman being raised in a motorcycle club. Plot-wise, it was relatively dramatic, particularly towards the end. Ash's strength really shone through when it comes to the war she's thrown into. I loved her Momma Bear instincts towards the end.
Final Thoughts: Biker romance added to a second chance romance with a dash of a secret love child is the perfect combination for me. I was a sucker for the book right from the start. I wasn't exactly the biggest fan of the first book but this just made up for it. I massively enjoyed it. Would I recommend it? Definitely, especially if you liked the first book. Will I be carrying on the series? Of course, I've been wanting to read Jager's book since the first book.
A Disciple’s daughter’s return is about to make his whole world shift.
I loved this one and I m also loving this series, bossy bikers and women with backnbone. A secret baby, a childhood to adult love story and a second chance romance, all my favourite things wrapped up in an MC read.
A bit about the plot; When the club receives threats and the safety for one of their own is in jeopardy they all rally together and although Ash left four years ago the threats involve her and revolve around her fathers death too. following her fathers death and putting blame on the club and the life they live Ash left with no intention of ever returning.
Ash had been in love with Gabe who later became Sketch, they had both been childhood friends within the club and in their teenage years became more. Ash struggled in the days following her fathers death and wanted Gabe to run away with her, Gabe thought he had convinced her to stay until he woke up to find her gone.
That was four years ago.
When Ash returned after being brought back by one of the MC members not only did she have a frosty reception by Sketch but she wasn't alone. Ash had a beautiful little girl called Emmy.
“You don’t own me.” “Maybe not, but I own your heart. I know, because I gave you mine when I took it. You took off with it once and it hurt like hell, there’s no fucking way I’ll go through that again.”
I loved this story, Ash's possessiveness and determination to get Ash back. I enjoyed the ride and looking forward to the next book in the series.
Told in first persons dual pov and leads to a heartwarming hea.

A Disciple’s daughter’s return is about to make this biker's world shift. Sketch, Ash, and the whole Savage Disciples MC are now free on #KindleUnlimited!
I loved this book. It's the story of Gabe and Ash who both grew up in the club and meet as young children. I loved the flash backs to when they were younger and how Gabe claimed he would marry her. They go from being best friends to lovers and after a tragedy Ash runs off and leaves Gabe broken hearted. After years away she is forced to come home due to a threat that is made against her but she doesn't come home alone, she comes home with her little girl. Emmy was just adorable and instantly won the hearts of everyone. I loved how Gabe is so mad at Ash for leaving him but it doesn't take him long at all the go after her again. I felt Gabe's pain when Ash told him Emmy may not be his and his pain when she shared her secret. As with book 1 the ending is wrapped up perfectly and everything works out for them and to be honest I loved it. Looking forward to more in this series.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a good biker themed romance. Even though it is book number 2 in this series, it could be read as a standalone. You don't need to have read the previous book to understand or enjoy this story.
Although this story is based around an MC, it is focused more on the romance between a club member and the woman he loves. There wasn't anything wrong with that as it was a sweet romance read. However, I would have liked to have seen more about the club.
Emmy was my favorite character of this book. She was so adorable. I would love to read a book based on her when she is grown up.
The writing is really easy, engaging, and fast paced. A warning to my friends that this contains as surprise baby where the father is not told. She had legit reasons as to why, but this can be troublesome for some friends of mine.
Overall the series is very fast paced. I find myself having a hard time putting the book down. I enjoyed all the action and the whole “your mine” caveman act that happens in these MC romances. A bit predictable at times, but overall enjoyable.
This is the second book that I've read of Drew Elyse books and I'm so glad I found this author. This book had me from page one and I couldn't put it down. I actually had tears in my eyes at the end of the book. Awesome job... I can't wait for book three.
I could not put this book down. I devoured it. Talk about all the freaking feels. Sketch and Ash are just.. ugh. I flove them. Sketch is an amazing man.
What a beautiful story. I loved both characters, their story, their angst and their happiness. How adorable is our little Emmy. I am really looking forward to her story.
Shift by Drew Elyse is a great MC book. This is the second book in the Disciples’ Daughters Series.
Ash left almost five years ago because it all became too much. The loss of her father, her one true love becoming just like him, she just couldn’t stand to having more loss in her life. Nothing has been the same since that day she walked away. She wanted to go back, but things happen and home doesn’t always seem like the best choice anymore. Until the day someone walks back into her life or really the diner she works in.
Sketch couldn’t believe Ash would walk away from him and the life he was trying to build for them. He knew she hated the club, that had been family to both of them since they were young, but he didn’t understand how she could just walk away from him. Resentment and anger course through him, until he finds out Ash brought a surprise home with her. It quickly becomes clear to Sketch that he needs to get back to the man he once was and win back Ash.
I really enjoy this series. I love the characters and the fight they have to go through to be with each other. Ash and Sketch are no exception to that rule. This book actually felt like a MC book. They went after the guys that threatened and hurt their girl. I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the third.
This is the second book in the Disciples' Daughters series and here we have Sketch's and Ash's story.
Having grown up together in the MC it was always thought that these two would be together. Their love grew throughout childhood into their adult years, that is until Ash's father was killed. Not wanting to suffer the loss again, she leaves.
Struggling to support herself and her daughter, Ash still stays away from the MC even though she misses them greatly. But she is forced to return home, when there is a threat to her.
Sketch has never got over Ash leaving him in the way that she did. When she returns he finds that there are more surprises than he ever thought of.
This read shows that once you have found your soul mate the love will never die, no matter time or distance.
Drew has written another great MC read and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
***Copy received in exchange for an honest and unbiased review***
great series, loved the characters, loved the stories. really well written (5.11.16)
12/1/18 - one of my very fave series. first read when the original three books were released as the Disciples' Daughters, though the series evolved to the Savage Disciples MC. tough alpha males, strong loving females, wonderful children. plenty of action, danger, romance but the overall theme I see as family. love the writing style, the stories and the characters. a great series that I have no probs reading over again
Another brilliant book. I've cried, screamed n smiled my way through Gage and Ash's story. So glad it had a happy ending and I'm excited for more to come.
Shift (Savage Disciples MC #2) by Drew Elyse Review ♡ 5✨ 2🌶
I really enjoyed this book!! It is very lighthearted and a fun read. I loved how it had such a good storyline. Sketch and Ash were so perfect for each other and I just loved them together! I love an mc romance but sometimes you just crave a story that is on the shorter side but still amazing and this was definitely that!! I loved how he fought for them and instantly wanted Emmy to be his no matter what.
They were so cute and I loved how we got a glimpse into their future together aka having a family and getting married. I also loved how he was protective of her but such an alpha male when with others. I loved how feisty she was but also such a kind and sweet person. I also loved the chemistry they had and the sexual tension. I loved how she grew stronger in herself and grew as a person. I loved how all the Disciples were so protective of her and even though she left she was still family. I just love the Disciples family!! They are all so protective and sweet and I can’t wait to read the rest of the boys’ stories!
This is the second book in the Savage Disciple’s series and I can’t wait to read the rest!! Everyone check out the Savage Disciples MC series if you like anything MC or tattooed alpha males. Also, check out the author Drew Elyse as I have read many of their books now and they are just so good!!
Hitch drew me in from the beginning and I liked it even more than the first book of the series. While each book in the series is about a different couple, I am glad I read Clutch first because it gave me an overview on characters and a little bit of a back story of Ash and Gabe. I loved Gabe, he might have had a couple minutes of douchebaggery but it didn’t last long and he quickly realized he wanted Ash back and he wouldn’t give up. I loved that he wanted her and Emmy all the way, he didn’t play games or throw Ash disappearing in her face constantly. I could tell Ash was keeping something big but her constantly denying Sketch/Gabe just because she didn’t know for sure if he was Emmy’s biological dad got a little old. I wanted to shake her and yell that he is willing to claim her as his, just flippin accept it and stop worrying about blood! As the story continued it was easy to guess Ash’s secret but it was still heartbreaking to hear her story, especially after reading the reactions of the big bad bikers… they had me in tears. I liked most the bikers in the last book but this time they all completely won me over, they protected Ash and Emmy til the end and they all banded together to go after the people who hurt Ash in the past!
In book one, we heard about Gabe and Ash. We saw a bit of information at the end of the first book that makes starting Shift interesting. I am glad that we get to see their story next. Why does Roadrunner show up at Ash's work? What happens when he does? When she goes back with Roadrunner, what happens? Who is Emmy? When Emmy is seen at the farmhouse, by Gabe, things get a little more interesting. What name does Gabe go by now with the Disciples? Who is Victoria, aka Tori? When she is seen at the clubhouse by Ash, what happens? Watching Gabe take Ash and Emmy to the zoo was probably my highlight of the book. I love Emmy's enthusiastic personality. Interesting to find out the information we did not have about Indian, Ash's father. Who is Barton? What part does he play in this story? This is another book that is full of action, some suspense, some romance, and some fairly dark issues that make it all worth the read! Enjoy it.
My emotions are still raw whilst writing this review. EVerything about this book was simply perfect, the writing was engaging with a gritty, heart stopping storyline and twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. I loved Sketch and how he went from indifferent towards Ash to full on alpha in the blink of an eye. Ash was a fighter, touched by so many sad events in her life she was hard on herself, but was an amazing lady and definitely someone I'd be proud to call a friend. Then we had Emmy, loved how this cute little girl managed to bring so many gruff bikers to their knees!
As the title suggests this book was jam packed with emotions, I laughed and cried, was happy and frustrated. And that for me, having a book drag such real emotions from me is the sign of a brilliant book. Jager is up next, I can feel an intense read on the cards.
Sketch and Ash made me melt, but Emmy will steal your heart. She is such a real and fantastic little girl. I’ve been excited for this since I heard of this couple in the first book. I had such a hard time understanding at first why Ash gave everything up and never came back, even after she had time to think and work through her grief, and when I found out why my heart broke for her. Sketch was a fantastic hero - he may have been angry but it faded quick, and he was once again the man who had been steadfast and true since they were children - how can you not love him? And thanks to the events of the books, I couldn’t wait for Jager & Ace’s stories - which luckily I was able to binge on immediately after I finished this. I always, always watch for new Drew Elyse books and now that I found her Facebook group, I can stay on top of them - she’s amazeballs.
Ok let's just rip my heart out with this one. Ash and Gabe grew up together and Gabe knew his entire life that Ash was meant for him. But after a devastating event Ash left and destroyed him. Now she's back because she needs the clubs protection. But she's not alone. A little girl is with her and Gabe swears she's his but Ash says otherwise. While they fight the pull and the threat the secret Ash lives with slowly destroys her as well and she's ready to run again. Can Gabe finally get her to open up and let him back in or will she run or will the threat finally catch up to them all? And the little girl Emmy, loved her!!! One she reminded me of my oldest granddaughter. Loved how she had all those big bad tough bikers wrapped around her little finger. Definitely recommend this book. I am on to book 3 now!!!
Emmy- be still my heart. What a cute three-year-old. She had the Disciple MC men wrapped around her little finger. She was cute, and full of sass, and was the princess of every mans eye in that group.
The parts I loved about this book: 1. Emmy- I loved how she couldn't pronounce all her words properly. 2. Gabe, aka: Sketch. Patient man when it came to Ash. He could be bossy, alpha- but he knew how to claim two special girls without being over bearing. 3. Emmy & Sketch moments together. He had some special times with her- and I loved the things he did with her. 4. 'Uncle' Daz & Emmy's One Direction moment- lol 5. The last two chapters- loved every single thing that happened!! Perfect
