This was a nice follow up to the session that I had attended awhile back. It had some helpful tips and tricks for helping your color or how to communicate with the other colors. Great hints on moving forward and armed with additional knowledge...I am happy.
Fun and informative book about different personality types, aka our True Colors (there are 4 different colors), and how to better relate to people who have different strengths, values, joys, needs, etc. than our own. If you wish to better understand how you view the world (your True Colors) and how other 'Colors' see the world. We each have all four colors but we have a dominate one, or two, to our least colors. By understanding these colors, u can better grasp the world veiw of others and why they act and think the way they do. The TC also helps parents and teachers better understand childrens' behavior.
(BTY I am a trained True Color facilitator so let me know if you need assistance with understanding TC).
I was first introduced to the True Colors system through my fiancee, and to date it has been the most valuable personality/temperament classification system I've encountered. The author is engaging and presents the main color types in both positives and negatives without showing bias for or against any of them.
After hearing my colleagues speak about this personality typing method ("I'm so Blue." "I have absolutely no Blue!!!) they had done at a staff development day years ago, I wanted to read this book and see what it was all about.
Now I am assigning people I know colors in my head as I'm interacting with them! I'm using the knowledge I learned reading this book to better understand my (Gold-Blue) interactions with my husband (so very GREEN!) and others--and I only just finished the book last night! It's allowing me to step back and reassess stressful situations.
