Let’s start with honesty: This is my first Sci-Fi Space Opera Romance. I’m an old-time Sci-Fi person and relish good sci-fi & fantasies I didn’t see how this type of a sci-fi space opera style novel would work. Well, to my surprise, it was much better than expected. Yes, this book is a romance—not your old-fashioned Harlequin love/hate/love romance, but one for our times, featuring sexy, up front, and confident protagonists who charge like tarnished white knights across space in search of a terrorist killer who preys on people and planets. The novel is loaded with action, romance, suspense, and the joy of space and planet hoping to some strange and interesting places. While light on the technical aspects that make many Sci-Fi’s stand out, the interaction between the protagonists work well, the action scenes are solidly done, and knowing Nancy J. Cohen is a stand out and exceptional mystery writer, I knew I couldn’t go wrong. I was right!
This is my title. Voted Best Book in Romantic SciFi/Fantasy at The Romance Reviews

i loved this book, it isnt the book i usually read but damn it was really good, i def give u 5 stars for this book. silver and jace are perfect for each other, they way that work together but at the same time they are looking out for them self. they dont see that they need each other to actually get there job done. there chemistry i love, from the beginning they where ment to be but they didnt see that till like middle when they actually feel for each other but they dont want to believe they actually having feeling for each other. silver is def my fav character b.c she is so strong, independent and hard to crack and she dosnt share her feeling w. anyone b.c it shows her weak side which she dosnt want any one to see. but thew out the book she start to shed that skin and start to care for jace and his safty. jace work so well w. her b,c he is her soft side, he helps her threw out the book to shed her hard skin and let her feeling come out and share w jace. i love how u got these two work so perfect for each other, like ying and yang. they need each other to get there mission complete. jace is soooooo HOT by the way lol, he is the soft side for silver but at the same time he put his tough guy face and dosnt want to mess around. he is def 100% man and he def perfect for silver when it come to the feeling and shared kinda thing. i like mixy too how u put him the the book and work w. silver and jace together, i like how mixy show jace and silver feeling about each other like thet all are linked to each others feeling and mixy def is the light of the group. i just feel bad that he had to deal w. siliver and jace sex scenes lol it was kinda mean that they finally come together and mixy have to feel that feeling they shared in bed. which i know mixy like that b.c its different for him to actually feel all this feeling that jace and silver share. i like that when they are apart they still share that link for all together so one will know what happens to that person. the hole storie was great to b.c i like how u set it outter space and galaxy and the pirate theme going on, its kinda remind me of treasure planet lol i know that kinda werid to say that but it atucally does fit w. that book. but i def love this book b.c i couldnt put it down when my son try to rip it out of my hand lol. i def will be reading more of ur books and def review for yea. thanks again for the book and i cant not wait to read all of the books u have writen.
A beautiful assassin and a desperate fugitive join forces to catch a terrorist and prevent a war between worlds.
Imagine my joy when I received a copy of the reissued Silver Serenade by Nancy J. Cohen, a well-known, long-time writer and one of my favorites, and discovered that while this story was a departure from her fabulous Bad Hair Day Mystery series, it was a book that I thoroughly enjoyed and could not put down.
Silver Serenade juxtaposes main characters Silver Malloy and Jace Vernon risking their lives, knee-deep in space intrigue and political drama, with their budding romance. The chemistry and sex may be hot, but so are their tempers. The course of love is not running smoothly here.
Silver Serenade is packed with action, romance, sex, space ships, danger and murder, and a full cast of fascinating characters, both on- and off-world. Throw in a little bit of the supernatural and lot of humor and you couldn’t ask for more.
Cohen writes a good, solid mystery in the Bad Hair Day series, and apparently she has always done so, because Silver Serenade is top-notch. In addition to the action and fun of the space travel and the hot romance and intriguing aliens there is a strong storyline that keeps you guessing right up until the end about just who on which planet is responsible for what.
Silver Serenade was a very, very satisfying read and I would definitely recommend it – as well as anything else Nancy J. Cohen has written – to everyone.
Silver Malloy works for Earth Centrum Security Integrated Network. Her latest mission involving taking down Tyrone Bluth. Tyrone is the leader of Tyrone’s Marauders. The toughest bandit crew around. Silver almost had Tyrone when she came face to face with another opponent. His name is Jace Vernon.
Jace is also tracking Tyrone but for a different reason. Jace doesn’t really want or planned to team up with Silver but in order to achieve his goal, Jace must work with Silver. Who will win…Silver or Jace?
Silver Serenade by Nancy Cohen is a fun, entertaining, out of this world read! I really liked this book. It was a nice change from Mrs. Cohen’s mystery novels. Though Silver Serenade has all the same great elements that I have come to expect from Mrs. Cohen’s books…great characters, a strong storyline and the need to want to read more. Silver can kick some serious butt. I like that she had a take charge attitude and could hold her own with Jace. Speaking of Jace…can anyone say H-O-T! Jace and Silver were good together. I would recommend Silver Serenade to anyone.
Silver Serenade is by well-known and long-time writer Nancy J. Cohen. Taking her pen back to futuristic romance, Cohen pens a galactic tale of space intrigue and political drama which pits S.I.N. agent Silver Malloy against pilot Jace Vernon, who is forced to flee his home after he is framed for his parents murder. He's trying to clear his name and find his missing sister when is runs into strong-willed assassin Silver, who is after a terrorist about to start an intergalactic war. Jace realizes the same terrorist may be partly responsible for his own parent's death and might have taken his sister. He wants to work with Silver as a partner, not a captive.
As Cohen juxtaposes their galactic pursuits with their budding romance, her novel takes the reader on one explosive ride in outer space. The sexy scenes are over-the-top hot and steamy and the action scenes are packed full of energy. Platinum-haired Silver is extremely strong-willed, independent and blazingly independent as Jace tries to gently tame her wild, mission-focused personality and show her another way, a way in which they can work together to both succeed in their agendas and save the universe at the same time.
Ace pilot Jace Vernon is forced to flee his home world after being framed for murder. He seeks justice, but S.I.N. agent Silver Malloy gets in his way. The platinum-haired beauty counters his every move in the quest to clear his name. As he makes it his mission to break her, he doesn=t count on the personal consequences of success.
Silver refuses to abort her deadly mission even if it means killing the one man Jace needs alive to prove his innocence. Her resolve wavers when Jace’s charms melt the barriers around her heart. Can she help him win his case, even if it means betraying her own people?
Silver Malloy and Jace Vernon are both after the same man and getting in each other's way in this space opera. Silver is seeking to assassinate Bluth for killing her parents and fiance and as an assignment from the Earth's anti-terrorism agency, S.I.N. Jace needs to find Bluth alive to take him back to his planet to prove that he was framed for the murder of his family. Eventually they work together. There is lots of action, intrigue, humor, violence and romance. I really enjoyed it although there were times when I wondered if this was an early work in the author's career since the flow was a little bumpy at times.
