Just okay.

I know why many people feel that her pink collection is unfinished. This one could have done with even just a few pages more.

For most of the book, the ninny heroine allows the OM to bully her into a forced engagement and to treat her badly.

All the while she is developing a friendship with the Hero and admires him a lot. Still she cannot bring herself to tell him of her problem w the OM.

It takes the whole book for her to break it off w the unsuitable OM and 2 paragraphs for her and the Hero to declare their love for each other.

The end…

Touching the Stars was an amazing read! It all begins for a young girl named Justina as a basic traveling to India story. Although, then Marcus comes into the picture and his bravery was so inspiring to me when he saves Justina. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to travel to foreign lands.

A little predictable but an enjoyable and easy read. Not one that I would re-read anytime soon though as the plot and characters were all pretty much one dimensional and they were what they were! My first Barbara Cartland and probably not my last.
