Fine adventure stories from 1969-70. The plots and resolutions are a little farther fetched than is usual for Foster and his characterizations seem shallower. He was in the process of semi-retiring when these strips were created, and his lack of interest, or perhaps his weariness, shows. It is interesting to see selected strips ghosted by try-out artists Grey Morrow, Wally Wood and Foster's eventually replacement, John Cullen Murphy.
The incredible artwork of Hal Foster makes these a true treasure to read. Being able to go through a year's worth of the Sunday strips is fantastic. Awesome story and incredible art make these books get my highest recommendation.
