Secrets and lies threaten to tear Coral Island’s close knit community apart. Charmaine moves to Coral Island and lands a job working at a local florist shop. It seems as though the entire island has caught wedding fever, with weddings planned every weekend. It’s a good opportunity for her to get to know the locals, but what she doesn’t expect is to be thrown into the middle of a family drama. Penny and Rowan’s wedding is coming up fast and Penny’s working too hard to give it her full attention. Rowan’s still figuring out what to do with his life when a suggestion from a friend gives them both an idea. Could change bring them closer together or will it push them apart? Beatrice and Aidan are content with how their lives are going, but one heated night results in an impulsive proposal. They’ll have to decide whether to give in to the romance or let common sense prevail. Coral Island has wedding fever. Can these couples withstand the heat? The Coral Island series is full of family drama, friendship, sweet romance, second chances and mystery. This is the fourth book in an ongoing series and ends on a cliff hanger.

"If readers are looking for an author who is the perfect mix of Debbie Macomber and Nora Roberts, Lilly Mirren is it." - InD'tale Magazine
This time we have a new main character, Charmaine (or "Chaz") who travels to the Island, partly to try to find an aunt that she had never met but also to try to set up a new life for herself. She manages to find a job and somewhere to live and gradually settles in to Island life. The other main characters are still there, of course, and there are weddings in the air. When there is a young, troubled girl in a story I always find myself going into "Dad mode", wishing I could be there to help them and this is the case here. You gradually find out more about her back story, whilst the other characters stories are also moving on plus the mystery of the murder that happened decades before in the background. The story ends on a cliffhanger, which I'm not always a fan of, but this does mean that there is more of this enjoyable series to come and I can't wait to find out where the storylines go. I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however this did not influenced my review of the book.
I truly love this series by Lilly Mirren! We've learned so much about this group of gal pals as they reunite on Coral Island and navigate through the ups and downs of life--divorce, second chance love, a new career, adult children, and so much more! In Island Weddings, both Penny and Rowan and Bea and Aiden are planning weddings. While working at the floral shop, Charmaine starts up a side business as a wedding planner, taking on both weddings, and does a great job; but afterwards "she only [feels] empty inside. She's still alone in the world and didn't know what to do with her life or how to move on with no family or close friends." As she befriends the women they discover Charmaine has a few mysteries of her own. I enjoy how the women love and support each other and embrace Charmaine. I'm looking forward to new beginnings for all of them in next book--will Charmaine find a love interest? What secrets are her brother Sean hiding? And what's the mystery surrounding Butch and Betsy and the murder of Penny's grandmother? Well written with beautiful descriptions of Australia. Note: This book is a continuing story and should be read starting with book 1 in the series. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have voluntarily given my honest opinion in this review.
Coral Island seems to be a community with secrets, memories, lost loves and now weddings. Charmaine has moved to the Island, gets a job, moves into a loft and has secrets of her own. This series is wonderful as families have drama, many shops are busy and now weddings are being planned. This author has the exceptional talent to bring us all up to date on the happenings in each book, along with where the characters fit into the busy community. My favorite character in this book is Watson. What a charmer!
Weddings are always exciting maybe more exciting than Penny can handle so she hires Chaz to help her out, Chaz had secrets of her own like everyone else on the island and weddings are catchy so next thing you know Bea and Aiden are planning a wedding of their own. So much going on and so much excitement with all sorts of twists and turns and surprises along the way. Great read, I really enjoyed this book.
What a wonderful addition to the Coral Island series. This book hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. It has mystery, romance and just the right amount of drama to keep you turning the pages. I loved it and can't wait for the next book in this series. I received a complimentary copy and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I’m Confused about one of the characters and the mother of his child. So Aidan who is marrying Beatrice, has a daughter Grace, who is in their wedding. On page 74 he talks about taking care of his first wife but then she died. But also in the book it talks about Grace living with her mother. What am I missing?
I'm enjoying this series. Each book could be read alone but the series draws you in. Lilly Mirren touches on the reality and frailties of life. Her books are the perfect beach reads or sitting in your comfortable chair by the fire, preferably with a cat on your lap. Enjoy!
This is my least favorite in the series so far. I thought the Penny and Rowan romance was drawn out by the should I or shouldn’t I get married chatter back and forth between Penny and all the characters…boring!
A very good story with lots not love, mystery, and adventure! Highly recommended! You're going to love this story and won't be able to put it down! Enjoy!
Cute - part of the series - book four of 6 - so the reader goes along on life’s journeys with the various characters. It is a fun, brainless, summer read - I’ve enjoyed each book
