Weslee Dunster, a practical, hard-working student attending Boston University on a scholarship, finds its difficult to fit in with the spoiled, wealthy New Englanders who look down on her clothes and her background, until spoiled party girl Lana Brown comes up with a scheme to give Wes a thorough makeover. A first novel. Original.
I absolutely loved this book. I found myself slipping into the character many times. It was one of those that made you want to be the character. Very good one.
She Who Shops was my introduction to chick-lit. Although I was intrigued by the characters, the shopoholism did not grab me. Well crafted for a first novel, it's suitable for light beach reading.
