The Sinatra Treasures: Intimate Photos, Mementos, and Music from the Sinatra Family Collection

Rate this book
The first-ever collection from the archives of the legendary Chairman of the Board, filled with never-before-seen photos, letters, mementos, and more. What is a legend? A legend is a man who, more than 65 years after stepping on stage for the first time, is still larger than life. A man who changed the way we wear our hats. A man possessed not of a voice, but The Voice. Frank Sinatra is a legend. Created in conjunction with the Frank Sinatra Estate, THE SINATRA TREASURES tells the story of Sinatras life with rare and never-before-published quotes from those he loved and those he worked with--and from the Chairman of the Board himself. More than 200 black-and-white and full-color images from several Sinatra archives, as well as 30 removable facsimile reproductions of items, such as a script from one of his radio shows and a Sinatra family photo album, provide a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Sinatras world and talent. Also included is a new compilation CD of rare interviews, early radio appearances, and songs. This celebration of the many elements of Frank Sinatra--as singer, as actor, as humanitarian, as friend--brings to life as never before the man who made the standards standard.

Very cool collection of memorabilia--facsimiles of movie posters, set lists, telegrams of congratulations from various actors, musicians, politicians, etc. I have picked up many Sinatra books that cover lots of different angles, but this one is truly unique.

A wonderful and thorough glimpse into the life of my would-have-been husband (if only I was born in the 1920's...). An absolute must-have.

This is a beautiful book and a wonderful tribute to Frank Sinatra. Not only does this tell his story with lots of quotations from him but also lots of quotes and anecdotes from his children, his ex-wives, his friends, and even an enemy or two. It is intensely personal and completely fascinating. There are amazing photos and not only that, there are several packets with memorabilia from Frank's life, reproduced from his family's collection and a CD of his music. I can't believe I bought this for a penny on Amazon when it is such a rich treasure sure to warm the heart of any Frank Sinatra fan. Highly recommended. I am still swooning over it!

If you're into Sinatra or are looking for a gift for someone who is and who lived through Sinatra's era of popularity, look no further than this book. It has extremely authentic replica items embedded into pouches throughout the book. These items help this book transcend 'book-hood' and help put this book into an orbit all its own. Absolutely evocative.

True love is this book and having a few pieces of Sinatra's life in my hands: a music sheet for My Way, replicas of tickets, invitations, and more.
