Darkfall: Crimson Dawn

This 3rd book in the series goes back to the nonstop action of the 1st book. We're seeing Jack advancing in the Deathborn and becoming a leader. I've really fallen for some of these characters at this point and care very deeply about what happens to them. Which is tough because stuff is happening all the time! We're starting to find out a bit more about the higher tiers of this secret society, love that! This left me dying to know what's next, bring me book 4!

This is the 3rd book in the Darkfall series Crimson Dawn by this author. It is mainly set in York this time Jack and Max and some of the Deathborn have to go on an urgent investigation due to a surprise attack that has managed to wipe out one of the biggest chapters in England.
When they arrive they find horrors of the unimaginable, bodies everywhere what kind of monster or supernatural creature has been on the rampage you will have to check the book out to find out.
Jack and Max are desperately searching for answers this is when they meet a new cult the Crimson Dawn uh oh my god just awful!!
Is the world going to be safe are they going to be able to defeat the enemy?
This author sent me on a rollercoaster of a ride from the first page to the very last. It has monsters, gore, horror and OMG 😲 shock value moments throughout which every horror reader loves. Twists and turns I even shouted at the book too lol.
Totally loved this read it is addictive series in my opinion. Go on I dare you to try as you won't be able to put the book down!!!!

Entertaining and shocking
Spoilers ahead so beware. Overall awesome book. Great addition with some truly gruesome events. You learn more about the Crimson Dawn and the extremes measures they take to achieve their goals. Some new characters get introduced, but don't get attached to anyone. The series kicked off with an 8 year old boy getting torn in half, so the author has no problem killing off characters. Losing Max was shocking and horrible. I really enjoyed his character and wanted to see him and Jack team up more. Gus finally makes a move to learn more about what happened to him in the first book, to the dismay of pretty much everyone. I can't wait for book 4. This was very much like Empire Strikes Back

Great Series
Once again Jack is up crap creek. The life of a Deathborn, it would seem, is exactly that.
After surviving an insane encounter with something that should not exist, Jack is now called upon to find out what happened to the Deathborn Chapter in York.
For it seems the entire Chapter was wiped out in one single encounter.
Will Jack survive this encounter as well or will he truly become his namesake?
This is the 3rd book in a great series and still hungry for more!!

Good characters and buildup
This series has great potential. I like what has been setup and the creepy old gods and their power. I think it is kind of foolish for the death born to be looked so down upon because everyone fronds of them. Of course there would be rebellion. That part doesn’t quite jive with me. Still interesting though.

audible:Excellent continuation of the story of the shadow hand ,Jack and Cassandra.They get yet another chance to prove their worth and save the world.Can they do it?Do they want to? Hannibal Hills was a terrific narrator ,as is usual. was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great book
This series was a great experience, lots of action, suspense and more gore than you'd ever want to see. A great cast of characters. I was really impressed by these books. I recommend reading.

The latest in the series was a little darker than previous ones. Still had the same action, adventure, horror and violent death. Not for the feint of heart. The series continues with Jack and his fellow Deathborn’s fight against evil.

I found I could not put this book down, I was at the edge of my seat most of the time, hoping that the characters made it through, and I can't wait for the next book.

A powerful mage and deadly wraiths
A chapter of the Deathborn are completely wiped out. Max, Jack and some Deathborn along with a couple of knights find themselves helpless against wraiths bent on annihilation. It's a no-win situation as they have to contend with a powerful witch and a skilled warrior. What will be the aftermath? Gut-wrenching and heartbreaking, this book had me completely absorbed. I love the graphics and the description of the characters. Looking forward to the next.
